Real and Literal: You as New Creation in Jesus Christ

Chapter One: Christ Here and Now in You and Me

Phil 1:3-8 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

Being born again as new creature in Jesus Christ is hearing the voice of God as Word and Love and His non-metaphorical residence in you as Spirit, Love and Word. It is simple. He is all Truth and you and I as new creation in Jesus Christ are a fulfillment of His Word as prophecy and part of Him as Truth.

God speaks to you and all of us in new birth and after the fact as building us up in Him such that only genuine and real new creation can hear Him or understand Him as Word. His Word and Spirit is Our being and therefore our fellowship.

Witness the supposed common sense regarding total reality of a pagan/non-born-again-in-Christ-Jesus creature (Naaman) in which the unavoidablity of ceremony (and ceremony specifically predicated to engender incredulity and a 'wow effect') resides as their speech/idea of the true miracles of God:

2 Kings 5:10-14 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. And Naaman was wroth, and went away and said, Behold, I thought, He will certainly come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and wave his hand over the place, and cure the leper. Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them and be clean? And he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants drew near, and spoke to him and said, My father, if the prophet had bidden thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he says to thee, Wash and be clean? Then he went down, and plunged himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

How do I know Christ is here in me and that anything is changed?

On hearing God as Word, He seems a small Presence, indeed, almost not there. It seems to us, because sin lives in the flesh and actively fights against us at all times, the thing with which we would try to distinguish Him from all else in us are thoughts and words in our mind as if we had not genuinely been born again as an outright new being, but that at best, we have only encountered a new and/or superior intellectual/emotional skill set with which we are unfamiliar (because up to this time, we were genuinely deceived sin was not a living creature, there was only one speech in total reality, we had not encountered God as Speech/Word because we were deceived speech was merely a medium of 'communication' between creatures and we had free will and 'used' different 'abstract tools' to find our way through experience as experience).

What is searched for is some kind of event that is marked by an emotional marker/movement of old heart such that we recognize Him as Love with all the emotions and things of the heart that had gone before. That is, we are spiritual babes fought against by a living creature in our own flesh that attempts to deceive us we are fully grown and not outright new creatures and certainly not babes at all nor newly created. It is important to understand that hearing as thought that we are not babes in Christ is not "our pride" but a creature that has no place in our new being attempting to say we don't exist.

Again, evil has no ears or eyes to see and hear Truth. Sin doesn't really know we exist. Sin hears of the possibility that we might exist, but has never seen us or heard us. Sin only sees and understands within the limits of its own realm and its own creatureliness and lack of power to create anything. It does not perceive that we are simply not in its realm any longer. Sin still fights against our soul, which has been saved and does not perceive us as new heart and new spirit and God in us.

But we still inhabit the one flesh, the one tabernacle and sin's comings and goings, sin's efforts to do evil in our flesh are now witnessed by us, who did not even know that sin existed as a creature before our new birth and deliverance from it, but our former deception/being-in-sin was that sin was a mere 'act' and not an outright separate speech than God and that we 'did' 'sin-as-acts' in 'free will'. Sin knows of 'a' presence (that is us and God-in-us) because of the present proximity in the one tabernacle. Things are happening in the tabernacle it did not do and cannot understand, but we remain invisible to sin as new creation in Christ. Sin therefore is no honest witness of who and what we are in Christ as it is ignorant to the Truth of our very being. It simply goes on as if our soul were still it's own toy.

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 But we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God: which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, communicating spiritual things by spiritual means. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned; but the spiritual discerns all things, and he is discerned of no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, who shall instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Therefore anything of the old is not us. So as we try to 'use ourselves' and/or our internal resources what we see is sin. We have not as yet, as babes fed on the pure milk of the Word of God in order to understand all things, but have just found ourselves to be again and in such a way as to be alien to all that we formerly knew and that knew us. For sin, through those souls around us who know nothing concerning these things contend with every fiber of their non-born again/still-in-sin being that no such thing as new creation is even possible and that new creation just isn't what words/speech is for--because sin as a living creature that is a speech not-God can't create anything.

Our mere being as new creation breaks the rules of all so-called knowledge and even possibility of everything of sin. The incredulity and unbelief of others as to our new birth is simply the ultimate compliment of sin to itself expressing that nothing can go beyond it's own limitations through their fleshly mouth. Therefore our 'own' doubt is simply sin flexing its fear at the new presence in the one tabernacle and us, still in awe of being now seeing sin move in the flesh and looking at sin rather than at Christ as Word of our creation.

Hebrews 12:1-4 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

and

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

and

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

and

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

It is evident then that sin will fight against you all your time in this tabernacle. So you should understand it now at the first and not be deceived that that attack that is doubt/ignorance of sin is simply your "own reasoning ability as an inner voice not able to justify the evidences as 'proof'" or any genuine guilt before God. It is impossible to go forward in the Word/Jesus Christ in Truth in order to be used of God to bless and help others if we are ourselves still deceived by sin that sin is us and our own fundamental identity as thought. For in maturity God through us does all.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The inward evidences are then to be found in Christ and not in sin or anything of the old creature, nor are they to be found as some ability of ourselves. So that simultaneous with new birth and the consequent awe of God as Word in us, is a fear of God and humility before Him. For without Him pro-actively feeding us and thereby turning us to Him as Word we have no other word but sin to hear as thought and as speech. We are then wholly dependent on God to both feed us and with and as such feeding to build us up and defend us and to produce fruit in Him and of Him. All these things are required, are expected by God of us and He does all things through us.

Philippians 2:12,13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

God doing these things is then more evidence of us as new creation and Him in us growing us as He adds more of Himself. So we find in ourselves a need, drawing toward and love of His Word in the Holy Scriptures.

There are those times, (knowing that Satan at all times through his own speech, (sin), seeks to convince us by his own ignorant actions in our flesh and now within our sight and understanding in Christ and us in the mind of Christ that we don't exist and aren't really in or possessed of the mind of Christ) that God tests us to show us what and where we are in Him. Faith then is that necessary proof and evidence of His presence in us when we are not actively hearing His voice as at former times. Faith is the certainty that those things happened: we were born again, He did it all, we have a godly fear and humility before God, God has given us a love of His Scriptures, that we are now honest witnesses of what sin is and is doing, and so forth. Faith is the evidence of things not seen by the human, non-regenerate/non-born again eye but well understood by us as simple reality.

Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

God tests us to show us how He has grown us and that He has never really left us at all. These times of testing them become the vocal witness against the doubt sin would do in front of us proving sin's ignorance of our existence is not indicative of Truth/simple reality. So we become aware of growth He has accomplished in us already and simultaneously the ignorance of sin. Then He draws us more to the Word and we absorb more of Him--and grow some more--and tests us on it later to prove to ourselves in front of the Church/brotherhood we are of Christ. What we then perceive is a walk on a pathway and He is showing us His total creation--even the evil. For we did not hear of the evil as a rumor, we knew the knowledge of good and evil from the perspective of and inside of evil (when we were fallen in sin and could do other than sin) and now through His eyes. We mourned as to the effect of seeing evil from within evil after we understood that was what was going on before we were born again. Many of our brethren mourned in that same way as God speaking through them before us. We then understand that God forces us to see all He has made:

Job 23:13-17 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.

and

Ecc 4:1-3 And I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors was power, and they had no comforter. Then I praised the dead who are already dead more than the living who are yet alive; and more fortunate than both is he who hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But God has said of evil to us:

Job 41:12 I will not be silent as to his parts, the story of his power, and the beauty of his structure.

Yet knowledge of sin, of what it really is, is an alien to our former ignorance before our new birth and is not the only result of our new birth and God in us as Word. We are united with God as Love, not simply God as Word. The understanding and participation with and in the Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit as Love does away with all former deceptions of sin as to the Truth of love. Love was formerly to us a what/a method. Love is now revealed to us to be the Person of God in Trinity. For having formerly been perfectly seduced by sin to do as it says over and over through all those fallen in it, most particularly fallen women, "Follow your heart! Follow your heart!", we now understand God as Word because we have God as Love when He Speaks and says:

Proverbs 28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

In new birth we have then been delivered from the emotional economy of sin through the world (the other former us) and the non-regenerate Church (the other former us).

Restoration of Identity

God then as Love and Fear and Word and Spirit is in us as Presence is the evidence/faith of our own identity as new creation in Jesus Christ. He is the validation we genuinely exist. He then shows us that we have never been abandoned or forgotten but that our physical birth, His showing us evil as one of His creations from the inside out and our deliverance into Him as true new creations and sons of God has been pre-determined by Him to be the path we would follow to His glory and our own glory and identity in Him. He shows that we are not merely a haphazard thought of His, or a temporary amusement of His, but that He has in perfect detail mapped out and carried out every facet of our growth and has restored to us our own identity as His Sons (not that He had ever forgotten, but that we did not know...) .

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and I will shew thee great and hidden things, which thou knowest not.

...one of which is ourselves and His great care in bringing us to now.

Ephesians 3:9-21 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Yet so far in sin were we that we did not perceive God was carrying us toward ourselves as new creation/sons in Him as eternal Life, and toward our True and eternal family, but that we, of our own supposed emotional resources spent ourselves to get ahead and creep along toward what we perceived was betterment but was in fact even more sin and evil. Sin in us as our thoughts seduced us and trod over us continually. But God, in His Own time and in fulfillment of each of us as prophecy name by name and time by time has now come to you and me.

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

You will not wonder then but understand and perceive who is who and what is what because of God in you seeing through your eye and you seeing through God's eye, even as now to see yourself as new creation. In such Truth as true sight and hearing, you will loathe non-creating, powerless/false words, false love and the emotional economy with it and false spirits who buy and sell therein.

Psalm 139:14-24 I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My bones were not hidden from thee when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lower parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my unformed substance, and in thy book all my members were written; during many days were they fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. But how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O *God! how great is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee. Oh that thou wouldest slay the wicked, O God! And ye men of blood, depart from me. For they speak of thee wickedly, they take thy name in vain, thine enemies. Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? and do not I loathe them that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred; I account them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart; prove me, and know my thoughts; And see if there be any grievous way in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
