Sigma Kappa: What is a CyberSigma?
What is a CyberSigma?
CyberSigmas are collegians and alumnae of Sigma Kappa Sorority who are
connected to the Internet and who are members of the CyberSigma mailing
list!

In late 1995 a computer-savvy Sigma Kappa alumna thought it would be interesting
to see how many other Sigma Kappas were on America Online (AOL).
She started with an e-mail to a mere 25 women, and within two years built
her experiment into Sigma Bytes and Pieces -- an irreplaceable communication
method for over 2000 collegians and alumnae around the world! After
a few years, Christine (aka CyberSigma@aol.com) decided to take a break
from all that hard work and has passed responsibility for the newsletter
to other alumnae. Since she began this, and was the most successful
CyberSigma moderator ever, we'd like to thank her for singlehandedly managing
the distribution list and putting together over 80 newsletters. We
will be forever grateful that she had the amazing idea to use e-mail for
"Bringing Sisterhood to Life!"
If you would like to subscribe to the CyberSigma
newsletter, it's as easy as clicking a button and filling out a form.
As soon as you've completed the registration and confirmed your e-mail
address, you'll be on the list! (NOTE: Registration information is used
only for demographics purposes. It will not be disclosed to anyone without
your explicit permission.)

We tried for a while to send only two e-mails per month. That got
very time consuming, however, and a lot of information came out too late
to be useful. We are now forwarding the e-mails as they come in,
which means that they tend to come in clumps of five or ten. This
problem can easily be alleviated!! If you're worried about your inbox
overflowing, please specify the digest
option. You will never get more than one digest per day.
Share your news of rush, upcoming events, Sigma
Kappa reunions, philanthropies, alumnae meetings, marriage and birth announcements,
career info and advice, etc., by sending e-mail to CyberSigma@egroups.com!
(You must be a CyberSigma member to send to this address.)
Your e-mail will be going directly to your
sisters, so please put something descriptive in your subject line!
