| Conklin's Wurlitzer 153 Band Organ |

|
Another full restoration of one of my favorite Wurlitzer Band Organs, the 153, Actually this is the second time this organ has been restored in 28 years by us. It works every day, either on the road traveling to small and large fairs in the USA and Canada as well as special trips off shore. It also works in shopping malls, sports domes and rural backlots. This time it got the works, Jim Conklin, of Conklin & Garrett Shows asked for a complete rebuild of organ, facade, and a new wagon. The wagon was built up from an real "organ skid" iron wheels and all. This is how the organs travelled and were placed on rides such as steam carousels in the past. After restoring the organ, the new wagon received special attention. Its new "animal cage" really gets attention and adds to the carnival atmosphere. When closed it protects the organ from the elements, when open the side doors, (complete with hand painted murals) provide a little advertising space for sponsers or owners, and yes that is 100% Velvet curtains!! both the red side doors and inside the wagon in black. Special thanks to "Konstantine VonWaldburg" master wood carver and artist. More information is available on Conklin Shows, their history (of which we are very proud to be part of) and of course "Konstantine VonWaldburg" A Canadian Artist.
