HISTORY
A poet, short story writer, playwright and essayist, Bryan Thao Worra’s work appears internationally in Australia, Singapore, Germany, England and across the United States of America.

Born in Vientiane, Laos in 1973, his work is featured in acclaimed anthologies including Bamboo Among the Oaks, Outsiders Within, and Contemporary Voices from the East.

He is the author of The Tuk-Tuk Diaries: My Dinner With Cluster Bombs and Touching Detonations.

Bryan Thao Worra is a freelance literary writer for Asian American Press,
a literary editor for the online journals TripmasterMonkey.Com, Bakka Magazine and an advisor to AsianAmericanPoetry.Com.

 

PUBLICATIONS

Bryan Thao Worra's publications include Whistling Shade, Urban Pioneer, Unarmed, Tales of the Unanticipated, the Asian Pacific Journal and the Journal of the Asian American Renaissance, among many others.

Thao Worra's work frequently explores a wide range of social and cultural themes, and the transient nature of identity and home. His style is frequently experimental and draws from a variety of modern and contemporary influences.

His first full-length book of poetry, On The Other Side of the Eye will be released this August by Sam's Dot Publishing.
