The reason for this site is to express the feasibility of a technological concept that could improve the existence of literally hundreds of thousands of people in the world. In addition it plays a part towards a degree Dissertation that I am pursuing as part of my study in Software Engineering.

A current let down in this so-called technological age is the appallingly poor advances made in Artificial Limbs, the following web site (www.prosHistory.shtml) explains how over 2000 years ago, during the Roman Empire, prosthetics were available that performed limited function that in some cases provided more movement than the current 21st Century types, as shown below…

…as I looked at these examples, it occurred to me that there was a major flaw in their design purpose. After all the purpose of an Artificial Limb is to replace the functionality of the original organic limb, which are both types of limb’s that react on electronic signals, either from the brain or an electric circuit.

Therefore I continued to theorise over the concept towards ‘Hot Wiring’ an Artificial Limb onto a human stump in order to provide near total functionality. Based on recent scientific understanding and technical engineering such advances were discovered to be highly possible, and so this site will explain the Concept in detail, as well as my personal working progress on the Hot Wiring Prosthetic, along with various relevant Issues and suggestions towards a means of providing movement from where it has been taken away.
