To Arms! To Arms! History minded men of Florida, the Jacksonville Light Infantry, Co. A of the Third Florida, Confederate States and the 35th Massachusetts Infantry, United States are seeking new and veteran reenactors. Women folk, are welcome to portray male soldiers as well as any other accurate female role for the 1860's.
As a family oriented Infantry Unit, we are inviting prospective members who have a love of history and truly care about their heritage to participate in this fast growing hobby; reenacting the AMERICAN CIVIL WAR. Events include battle reenactments, living history, authentic camping, parades and various ceremonies. We portray both "rebel and yankee" units, and strive for authenticity while at the same time having a good time among friends, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and rememberance for those who "gave their last full measure of devotion".
You have read the books, seen the movies, NOW EXPERIENCE the passion and drama of what our ancestors endured during four of the most crucial years in American History.
