FIGURE BASHING
This is my second conversion, using figures from Sideshow Collectibles.
By the title of my website, you may have guessed that Dracula is my favorite of all of the Monsters.
Although I love my Aurora Dracula, I wanted something that looked more like Bela Lugosi and the Sideshow figure was a perfect choice.

I repainted this figure but the truth of the matter is that I pretty much used the original colors that the figure came with because they were already DEAD on.
With the base I used wood, Balsa Foam and Magic Sculp along with a couple of plastic dragons.
I wanted these dragons to look as if they were sculpted from stone. They were originally add-ons for some KISS action figures.

Why the Dragons?
Because Dracula means "Son of the Dragon."
I bought this figure on eBay over a year ago for $8.00 but I've recently heard rumors that he's now going for big bucks because it's supposedly a rare figure.
I wish I had known this before I REVAMPED him.

November 1, UPDATE:

It seems that I'd posted these pictures prematurely.
I really wasn't happy with the way that the base on this model originally looked.
I found it to be very empty but I didn't see that there was much that I could do about it because I was in a rush to have it finished by Halloween.

As Luck would have it, I found a Dracula action figure set that included a base from a company called Jakks Pacific.
I borrowed the crumbling wall and the coffin from this set and although the scale is slightly off, I think it makes for a much better looking kit.
