| GROWING
UP WITH MONSTERS! |
| My
WITCH Story |
| The Witch
AKA the Salem
Witch. |
| I'd seen an original Aurora
Factory buildup of this kit |
| in a window of a hobby shop in 1976. |
| I just couldn't get into this kit as
a kid. |
| I guess that I felt it was a girl's
model kit because it |
| was only girls that dressed up as Witches
on Halloween. |
| |
| This Model kit
is an Aurora Reissue |
| and was Produced
by |
| Polar
Lights. |

| I never owned this kit until I was an
adult (when Polar |
| Lights released it) and that
was probably a good thing |
| because there are lots of tiny pieces
and much going on |
| with this kit, I would have just made
a mess out of it as |
| a child. |
| |
| I'm told that Aurora
released this kit (along with The |
| Bride of Frankenstein)
in hopes of getting little girls |
| interested in model building. |
| I'm not sure that the plan worked. |
| |
| As a kid, I ran into plenty of girls
who had Brothers |
| that built these model kits but I
never met a girl that |
| built and painted them, herself. |
| And why would they? |
| Just like I didn't want to play with
Baby Dolls, girls didn't |
| want to build Monsters. |
