English highwayman "Gentleman" Jim Craddock escaped to America where he was caught by western heroes Nighthawk and Cinnamon. Craddock was hung but returned as a ghost - cursed to walk the Earth until those who brought him to justice were dead. Ironically, the two were reincarnated souls returning again as Hawkman and Hawkwoman. GREEN LANTERN (Alan Scott LE) (Alan Scott) (good) (All-American Comics #16) Train engineer Alan Scott survived a wreck thanks to the power of the Starheart, a flame that lives inside a green lantern. The Starheart allows Alan to create anything he can image in the form of green energy, its only weakness is wood. Fashioning a ring and using it's power for good, the Green Lantern joined the Justice Society, fighting injustice until the team became trapped in Limbo. Eventually escaping, Alan discovered he had fathered two superhero children; Jade and Obsidian. Though called Sentinel for awhile, Alan reclaimed the name Green Lantern as he joined the newest incarnation of the JSA. After losing an eye during the Infinite Crisis, Alan has become Checkmate's White King. When the Wizard Shazam is killed by the Spectre during the Infinite Crisis, the Rock of Eternity explodes; freeing the Seven Deadly Sins. Thanks to the Shadowpact, the Sins were recaptured, but when the Rock of Eternity is reassembled by Zatanna, it was revealed that a new wizard had to remain to guard the Rock. Billy Batson, the original Captain Marvel, is chosen to succeed the wizard Shazam. At first, close contact with the Sins almost drive Billy insane, but One Year Later, he has fully assumed the role and the appearance of Marvel; the Guardian of Eternity. He now mentors a powerless Freddy Freeman through the Trials of Shazam. After sociopath Violet Harper was murdered by agents of the 100, her body was possessed by an Aurakle, an otherworldly energy being. She returned to life, gaining superpowers. Halo was taken in by Katana of the Outsiders where she re-learned her humanity.  Halo's halo changes colors as she uses her different powers: red for heat beams, orange for force beams, yellow generated light, green a statis beam, blue caused a distortion effect, Indigo was a tractor beam and violet allowed her use all of her powers but re-manifested the personality of Violet Harper. Originally the Egyptian prince Khufu, reincarnated Carter Hall was banished into oblivion during the "Zero Hour." But now, in his guise of Hawkman has returned to fight crime in the southern city of St. Roche. Wearing wings of anti-gravity Nth metal, Hawkman battles foes such as the Gentleman Ghost and Shadow Thief. His eternal lover has also been resurrected as the current Hawkgirl who fights by his side as a member of the JSA. INFINITE CRISIS (Event)
The DCU faces its darkest hour. The Spectre wages war on all things magic, the Rannians battle the Thanagarians at the center of the universe, Earth's heroes are besieged by both Brother Eye's OMAC cyborgs and the a new Society of supervillains. Watching from their pocket universe, Crisis survivors Kal-L (Earth Two Superman), a dying Earth Two Lois Lane, Alexander Luthor and Superboy-Prime decide the wrong Earth was saved. As Kal-L tries to reach out to Earth's heroes, Alexander reveals that he and Superboy-Prime manipulated events and have built an inter-dimensional tuning fork to recreate the multiverse. As Earth Two is restored, Superboy Prime lashes out, killing several heroes. Despite Earth Two being restored, Lois dies and a grief-stricken Kal-L fights Superman. As several heroes destroy Brother Eye and rescue Alexander's prisoners, the two Superboys battle, destroying the tower. Upon its destruction, a "New Earth" is created. Superboy (Connor Kent) dies and an now-insane Superboy-Prime attempts to collapse the Universe. He is stopped by both Supermen, but Kal-L dies in the fight. Superboy-Prime is imprisoned by the Green Lantern Corps and Alexander Luthor is killed by the Joker and Lex Luthor. Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman decide to take a year off to recover and rediscover themselves.

JAKEEM THUNDER (and Thunderbolt) (Unique) (None) (good) (Flash vol 2 #134)
When an evil Thunderbolt from the 5th dimension threatened Earth, Jakeem Thunder became the master of Johnny Thunder's genie: the magical Thunderbolt. Stored in a liquid filled pen, Jakeem is able to summon the "T-bolt" by saying the magic words So Cûl (pronounced "so cool"). After the crisis, Jakeem was invited to join the Justice Society. He originally struggled with his newfound power, thanks to poorly-worded commands but has since learned how to control the Thunderbolt and made friends with teammate Stargirl. After Johnny Thunder died when his body was controlled by the Ultra-Humanite, his spirit merged with the Thunderbolt creating a new being with the memories of both. Jakeem and the "Johnny Thunderbolt" remains a member of the JSA. JOHNNY THUNDER (II) (and Thunderbolt) (Unique) (None) (bad) (Flash Comics #1)
Born at 7 AM on the seventh day of the seventh month in 1917, Johnny Thunder was kidnapped by Badhnesians and bonded to a genie-like Thunderbolt. The Badhnesians planned on using Johnny as their tool in world conquest, but he escaped back to America. Johnny led a uneventful life until he inadvertently summoned the T-bolt with the magic words Cei-u (pronounced "say you"). After learning how to control the Thunderbolt, Johnny joined the Justice Society of America. The T-bolt could do anything; only limited to how Johnny phrased his commands: something that happened often thanks to Johnny's lack of intelligence. He retired from super heroics when his control over his Thunderbolt was weakened, thanks to a Badhnesian curse. He was kidnapped by the Badhnesians who were bent on finally executing their original plan. With the aid of Superman, they were stopped. After living abroad, Johnny rejoined the JSA and continued crime-fighting for several years. Now an old man, Johnny, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, misplaced the T-bolt and the liquid filled pen  it was stored in wound up in the hands of Jakeem Thunder. After Johnny died, his spirit was merged with the T-bolt which formed a new personality: "Johnny Thunderbolt." Quick gains his super-speed powers by injecting himself with "Speed Juice" which is created from the blood of his predecessor. Hailing from Apokolips, Knockout was a member of the Female Furies. Inspired by Big Barda, Knockout defected and fled to Earth. She first encountered Superboy as a stripper at the BoomBoom Room in Hawaii. She flirted with him as well as both sides of the law until she joined the Suicide Squad and was thought to be killed on a mission against the Silicon Dragons. She resurfaces and after killing Victor Volcaneum, Knockout ended up in prison. She escaped thanks to the Society but was acting as a mole at the request of her lover, Scandal Savage. Knockout rejoined Scandal and the Secret Six alongside Scandal. A pulitzer prize winning journalist for the Daily Planet, Lois Lane got the story of the century when she was rescued by the hero she called Superman. Lois was shocked to learn that the greatest story of all was right under her nose when Clark finally revealed his secret identity, but still agreed to marry him and keep his secret. Their engagement was interrupted by Superman's "death" at the hands of Doomsday, but they finally married upon his return. Their marriage has seen its ups and down, such as when Lois was kidnapped and impersonated by the Parasite. But regardless of the dangers they face, together their relationship is as strong as steel. Thanks to years of chemical warfare, his homeworld's inhabitants were all killed, leaving him dependent on an environment suit to survive. Mano used his power to destroy his homeworld and joined the Fatal Five. He now seeks revenge on industrialist Leland McCauley, who had sold Angtu its chemical weapons. J'Onzz later helped found the JLA and has been the heart of the team ever since. He loves Earth and maintains dozens of alternate identities around the globe. They say "Superman protects America, the Martian Manhunter protects the rest!" He possesses many superpowers including flight, great strength and "martian vision." He can turn invisible and can read and control minds. His only weakness is fire, which reminds him of the plague that took his family and race. Scottish Evan McCulloch led a rough life consisting of orphanages, brawling and manslaughter. As the United Kingdom's deadliest assassin, his career led to the death of his long-lost father and the suicide of his mother. About to turn himself over to the authorities, Evan was offered the costume and weapons of the original Mirror Master in exchange for his services.  The weapons allow him to create illusions, duplicates, fire lasers and travel anywhere via a "mirror dimension." His first assignment was to scare the animal rights activist Animal Man. He failed and eventually moved to Keystone City where to battle the Flash (III). He has been a member of many teams including Lex Luthor's Injustice Gang, the Rogues, Alexander Luthor's Secret Society and most recently, the new Suicide Squad. One of millions of mind-controlling worms from the planet Venus, Mr. Mind arrived on Earth during World War II bent on world domination. However, he was captured by Bulletman, Starman, and Green Lantern Abin Sur before he could start his plan. Years later, he joined up with Dr. Sivana but was thwarted by Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel. All of the Venusian worms were destroyed, except for Mr. Mind. Mr. Mind gets revenge when he uses Mister Atom to destroy the Batson's hometown of Farfield. His plans to destroy Washington D.C. are foiled by the Marvel Family and the Green Lantern Corps. Scott Free is the son of the Highfather, the ruler of New Genesis. To stop war between New Genesis and Apokolips, Highfather agreed to an exchange sons with Darkseid. Scott grew up in Granny Goodness' "Terror Orphanages" while Orion grew up on New Genesis. Scott became a member of the underground where he met future wife Big Barda. Rebelling against his adoptive father's rule, he fled to Earth. His escape nullified the pact, giving Darkseid the excuse he needed to resume war. Meanwhile, on Earth, Scott joined the circus, becoming the protégé of escape artist Thaddeus Brown, known as Mister Miracle. Aided with a Mother Box, Scott became the world's greatest escape artist and became friends with Brown's assistant, a dwarf named Oberon. After Brown was murdered, Scott assumed the Mister Miracle identity. Barda later joined Scott on Earth where the two battled against the forces of Darkseid. Scott eventually returned to Apokolips to win his freedom through trial by combat. Scott and Barda married and the two returned to Earth to become members of the JLA. MISTER TAWKY TAWNY (Bystander) (None) (good) (Captain Marvel Adventures #18) Tawky Tawny was a stuffed tiger doll who was animated by Lord Satanus to assist the Marvel Family in their battle against Satanus's sister Blaze. He only appeared as an animate being to Billy, Mary, and later Uncle Dudley. Mister Tawky Tawny was made permanently real by the power of Ibis the Invincible. When the Legion disbanded, he led President Leland McCauley's Oversight Watch. McCauley, who was really Ra's al Ghul ,attempted to kill him. Surviving, M'Onel would rejoin the Legion. MON-EL (Lar Gand) (good) (Superboy #89)
Hailing from the planet Daxam, Lar Gand was an explorer who landed on the planet Krypton. Warned away by Jor-El of the planet's imminent destruction, Gand was send towards Earth. He arrived years later, suffering from amnesia. Upon crash landing, Gand meets Superboy, and since the two share similar powers, Superboy assumes that Gand might be his long-lost brother. Naming him Mon-El (after the day he landed - Monday - and giving him Superboy's own last name of El) the two proceeded to have several adventures. However, when Mon-El gets lead poisoning, Superboy is forced to send the dying boy into the Phantom Zone until a cure can be found. A thousand years later, the Legion of Superheroes are able to create an antidote and release him. Mon-El joins the Legion, becoming one of its most powerful members and eventually marries fellow Legionnaire Shadow Lass. After the Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was revealed that Gand had actually met Superboy in a pocket universe created by the Time Trapper. Mon-El solar fuelled daxamite powers include flight, super strength, superspeed, invulnerability, heat and x-ray vision. NEGATIVE WOMAN (Unique) (Valentina Vostok) (good) (Showcase #94)
Despite being blasted alongside the Doom Patrol while defending the inhabitants of Codsville, Maine, the radioactive negative energy being that inhabited Negative Man, survived. When Soviet Air Force Lt. Colonel Valentina Vostok crashed her stolen experimental fighter plane in Codsville, she merged with the energy  being and became Negative Woman. Wearing bandages to hide her horrible irradiated appearance, Negative Woman can send out the negative energy being which can fly at the speed of light and is extremely strong. However, Valentina remains weak while separated from the being and will die if too much time passes. She joins the second incarnation of the Doom Patrol and has an affair with teammate Joshua Clay (Tempest). When original Negative Man Larry Trainor shows up alive, the negative being leaves Valentina and re-merges with him. She joins the secret service and was last seen working for Checkmate. Trained by the original, now elderly Sandra Knight, Delilah "Dee" Tyler becomes the second Phantom Lady. Trained at the Université Notre Dame des Ombres Dee is a master of Savate, is armed with a wrist-mounted blaster, a device that creates powerful holographic illusions and an extremely distracting (and revealing) costume. After several adventures, she joins a new incarnation of the Freedom Fighters. Unfortunately, during the Infinite Crisis Dee is murdered by Deathstroke the Terminator. After President Lex Luthor is impeached and vice President Pete Ross resigns, Jonathan Vincent Horne is sworn in as the President of the United States. Despite being a puppet of several covert government organizations, Horne is still an ally to the Justice League and helps guides the nation through the Infinite Crisis. QUEEN HIPPOLYTA (LE) (None) (good) (Wonder Woman #1)
Queen Hippolyta peacefully ruled over the Amazons of Themyscira for centuries. Longing for a child, she created Diana out of clay who was given life by the Olympian gods. When the threat of Ares arose, she organized the contest to send an amazon warrior into the 'man's world.' Little did she know her daughter Diana would win and become Wonder Woman. Years later, after Diana was killed by the demon Neron, Hippolyta became Wonder Woman to fight in her place. Her and the original Flash, Jay Garrick travelled back in time to the 1940's, where she joined the Justice Society of America, becoming the "first" Wonder Woman despite being the third to bear the name. She eventually returned back to the present and continued to occasionally fight alongside the JSA. When the intergalactic threat called Imperiex attacked Earth, Hippolyta led the charge but was killed in the battle. When reporter Victor Szasz couldn't effectively fight the political corruption that ran rampant in his hometown of Hub City, he became the faceless Question. With the help of his scientist friend, Aristotle "Tot" Rodor, the Question wandered the fringes of the DC universe seeking answers.
