(Where Applicable)
In the not-too-distant future,
in an alternate universe
lowly janitor Joel Robinson
still suffers from his curse...
[Gizmonic Institute]
He’s trapped in a satellite up in space,
Frank and Dr. F still rule the place,
there’s no sign of Mike or the lovely Pearl
and the guys in Deep 13 still want to conquer
the whole world! (“Ha, ha, haaaa!!!”)
[Mike and Pearl - They're Either Gone or They're Missing]
“We’ll send him cheesy net posts,
the worst we can find. (La, la, la!)
“He’ll have to sit and read them all
while we monitor his mind.”
[La, la, la!]
Now keep in mind Joel can’t control
where the postings begin or end, (La, la, la!)
so he just sits around and cracks wise at them
with the help of his robot friends.

Tom Servo (“I’m the wind, baby!”)

If you’re wondering about copyrights
and other legal facts, (La, la, la!)
Just repeat to yourself, “It’s just fanfic,
I should really just relax!” for...

[Gneech's NetMST Postings 3000!]

Twang!

NetMSTing is very simple—you find something on the World Wide Web or out of an internet newsgroup that is painfully bad, utterly dull, loony as a jaybird, or just plain takes itself too seriously, and you turn it into an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I’ve been a MSTie for some time, and I still watch it every Saturday. However, despite the talent of Mike Nelson and Mary Jo Pehl, the glory days of MST for me will always be right around the time that I started watching it ... early season two, right around the time of Catalina Caper and Ring of Terror. So when I started writing netMSTs, that’s the time period I set them in.

I said it was simple, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy. In fact, it’s pretty darn hard. Anybody can sit around and riff on stuff, but to do it in a way that’s funny takes a lot of work. (That’s why there are only two at the moment, but I’ll be doing more in the not-too-distant future.) I’m proud of my netMSTings. If you like them, please let me know. If you don’t like them, well, I’ll try not to take it personally.

Episode 101: 1996 State of the Union Address
Experiment: Bill Clinton’s 1996 State of the Union Address. This episode includes an invention exchange, Dr. Forrester having cross-universe memories, and the gameshow “Bill Clinton’s Billion-Dollar Budget Challenge!”

Episode 102: 1997 State of the Union Address
Experiment: Bill Clinton’s 1997 State of the Union Address. This episode includes guest appearances by Zorak and Brak from “Cartoon Planet,” CHAMPIONS villain Dr. Destroyer, and a host of other supervillains who are attending a lecture in Deep 13.
