for the outdoor and indoor enthusiasts. Bring your canoe or raft and float the Yellowstone
River with wildlife viewing and agate hunting. Walk the banks of the Yellowstone from atop
the
dike which runs the length of Forsyth. There are 8 tennis courts, one 9 hole golf course with
the toughest greens around, municipally-owned indoor Olympic swimming pool, baseball and
soft
ball fields and two city parks within walking distance. The Rosebud County Museum and
County Court House also a short distance away, offer a glimpse into the past of the Forsyth and
Rosebud County Area. A short trip will take you to the path of General Custer where he left
the river at Rosebud, and you can follow his path towards the Bighorn Battlefield.

CAMPGROUNDS
Wagon Wheel Campground, 1/4 mile south of I-94 (Exit 95). Phone: 356-2454 or
356-7982. Available within 1.5 miles are fishing in the Yellowstone River and the facilities of
Forsyth, including swimming pool, museum, stores & restaurants. Spaces are available for
camping ($9.00) with bathhouse and full R.V. hookups for $11.00, including tax. 20 Tent
Sites,
10 RV Sites with full hook-ups, water, electricity, sewer, showers, toilets.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Rosebud County Pioneer Museum, 1335 Main,
356-7547. The Rosebud County Pioneer Museum houses collections from Forsyth and Rosebud
County's founding families. Included in these collections are everyday items from the turn of
the
century, Indian artifacts and beadwork, vintage clothing, barbed wire display and various farm
implements. This free museum extends an invitation to everyone interested in everyday life as
it
was at the turn of the century. May 15 - Sept 15: 9am - 7pm. Sundays: 1pm - 7pm. May 1 -
May 15: 1pm - 7pm.
Golf at Forsyth Country Club, 356-7710. Holes: 18, $8 for 9 holes/$14 for 18 holes --
weekdays $10 for 9 holes/$16 for 18 holes--weekends. The golf course is a beautiful sight from
Interstate 94 about 3 miles west of town. The golf course has different tee markers for each 9
holes. The greens are considered to be the nicest greens in the area. The fairways have trees,
water and sand traps and well placed bunkers to make the golf game an enjoyable challenge.
The
course is just right for the golfing travelers that need 9 holes and a rest from traveling. The
pro-shop has golf rentals and carts. So stop in and tee it up! 2.5 miles West of Forsyth.
Interstate 94 has two exits, take the west exit, at the intersection is a caution light, turn left,
there is an orange (small) golf course sign approximately 2.5 miles, turn left and there is the
golf
course. Pro Shop, Bar/Lounge, Club House, Driving Range, Equipment Rental, Golf Cart
Rental, Golf Club Repair, Golf Instruction, Handicapped Accessible, Putting Green, Snack
Bar.
