Phantom Phords and other weird #%$&*

Hey Mercury! Make me a new COUGAR!!!!

If the Cougar does go back to it's Mustang roots in the future maybe it'll look like this??? The Camaro and Firebird are history, Ford has the Pony Market all to its self. A new Cougar would be a natural!

07 Torino?

Another Mustang spin off of mine based loosely off the 72 Torino....a nicely proportioned car that was just too big IMHO.

67 and 69 Cougar Fastbacks ;-)

The first pic is a chop, the second pic is the remains of a custom Cougar fastback.

There were two experimental Mustang Quarter Horses made in 1970. It had a 1/4 Mustang rear clip, 1/4 Shelby front, a 1/4 Cougar interior and 1/4 BOSS 429.

So why not a Cougar fastback too.....

Not a Phord....

But I put on 57 Ford Fairlane inspired trim! I don't think it's really a Charger either. I've had a few 60s and 70s Mopars, this car has nothing to do with the Classic Muscle Charger R/Ts of 68-70. It's so ugly nothing could hurt it. A frumpy looking 4 door...what were they thinking? After the styling successes of the Viper, PT Cruiser and Crossfire this was a REAL letdown. The current, somewhat bland, Pontiac GTO (a Charger rival in the 60s) is styling tour de force in comparison.

I do like the Magnum and 300 however.

Convertibles that never were........

In 1964 Ford made a Falcon, Galaxie, Thunderbird, and Mustang convertible. But no Fairlane. I HAD to correct the oversight!

They didn't make a Mark III convertible either. What if..........?

67/68 Cougar convertibles were never made by Mercury but several have been converted using Mustang donor parts. This one is not a "photochop" it's a real car.
