The Medieval CriereA newsletter of members of the The Middle Ages Trust.1998 April Issue |
![]() reetings, Another great month is at hand. Our popularity is continuing and our numbers are expanding. We are developing a lot of new material and will be making it all available during this month. You will notice that the web site will undergo many changes this month because of your feedback and interest. We passed the 500 books sold mark from the bookshoppe, thanks for your patronage. The number of suggested books has been overwhelming and we will be completely redesigning the bookshoppe to meet with your suggestions. You may have noticed that our banner is now heralding a rating from SafeSurf. This rating is to safe guard that there is no offensive material on our site. We will continue to keep this a Rated G - all audiences site for students and people of all ages. Many of the membership have been asking for items like Medieval mouse pads, coffee cups, T-shirts and other trinkets. We have been talking to a few vendors and will look into the viability of providing these things. On a final note Joseph DiVanna will be in New York City on April 21, 1998 at Sothebys for the auction of some 6 original medieval manuscripts. Christopher de Hamil at Sothebys has told us that they are very fine examples of the "Book of Hours". So if you in New York City, see you at the auction. Thanks for all the comments, The Middle Ages Trust Staff |
