The actual bell ringing will be at exactly 2:00 p.m. EDT when bells across the nation will toll in unison 13 times, signifying the original Thirteen Colonies and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This event is held in conjunction with the National Bell Ringing Ceremony. |
