The Tennessee State Society of the Sons of the Revolution contributes time, effort and financial resources to a variety of causes.

The Tennessee Society publishes a newsletter, The Rifleman, quarterly. The Rifleman is distributed to all members, and to genealogical libraries across the country. Terry Davenport is the editor, and has copies of back issues in three volumes for sale.

Sons of the Revolution, Tennessee State Society provides a scholarship for a student who pledges to futher the goals and objectives of the Society.

The Veterans Affairs Committee is involved in a variety of activities for the benefit of veterans, including contrbutions to the welfare of occupants of Veterans Hospitals.

The Statuary and Historical Markers Committee locates and maintains cemeteries that contain graves of Revolutionary Patriots. They request the assistance of any person who knows of a grave site in locating and arranging for maintenance of that site. Please contact the Chairman, Sam Maner at (865) 908-7988, or the Society Office with information that would assist them in locating such sites.
