Decorative Painting is big part of who I am,
but there are others who I share my life with.
I have a husband of 28 years,
who, with a tight grip on his wallet,
takes me to Estate sales
to look for goodies to paint on.
Goodwill is also on the "places to stop" list
At this point I should be set for life :)
I do have a problem passing up an unusual surface
.......and one son in law
Who has recently returned from Iraq.
We are very proud of his efforts to keep our families safe.
My first grandchild will be here in early 2006!
(think my SIL was happy to see his wife! )
I also have three wonderful friends that I bowl with every Wednesday.
if we bowl badly, we go to lunch to salvage the day ...
...there ya go Lynae..... your 15 minutes of Fame!
I live in Virginia,
but my soul yearns for the shores of South Carolina
For the last 23 of m 48 years I've been painting
and the last 18 teaching.
( and the last 10 trying to figure out web pages!)
I've often thought of creating my own designs,
but have been content...ie..LAZY ..
to use the multitude of designs
available in this technique.
I don't believe that you could ever run out
of things to paint.
The purpose of this page is to show the "steps"
involved in Tole Painting.
actually it was the final test in an HTML class,
but it has turned into so much more
I have met many very interesting people here
This is a method style of painting,
There is no talent required
,just a desire and a little patience.
Tole painting is attractive to so many
just because of this fact.
If you can color in a coloring book,
you can learn to paint .
The links at the bottom will send you to the notes
that I give to my students.
These notes are the building blocks to good painting.
There are no lessons, just an insight to what's involved.
Maybe after reading them
you will feel inclined to take a class.

or pick up a book and teach yourself.
