Harm is feared lost at sea as Mac's wedding party awaits word from the rescue carrier about when it can resume the search in the storm-tossed Atlantic.

As Harm begins to lapse into the final stages of hypothermia, his only hope is to make contact with his potential rescuers by holding onto a sonar buoy. Meanwhile, Mic can't help but notice Mac's distress over losing Harm and he makes a decision about their future that may leave Mac on her own.

    This years season premier starts off with a recap of last seasons finale.
    Skates is in sickbay with doctors and Captain Ingles around here. She tells them that the plane went out of control and they had to eject. The search leader says that Harm could be anywhere in a 1800 square mile box.
    Everyone has left Mac and Mic's engagement party and is now in JAG headquarters. They start turning on weather channels to monitor the storm that's hampering Harms rescue. 
    Mic is in Mac's office telling her that they should wait before postponing the wedding. Mac says she wants. Mic is mad/sad but agrees and says he'll start making phone calls.
    The Admiral comes out of his office and tells Bud and Gunny that the storm is lifting so they have resumed the search for Harm. They have an S-3 Viking searching for Harm and a Seahawk on standby. The camera zooms into a video of the storm on the television behind them. That scene morphs into the real storm and we see the S-3 Viking searching for Harm. They are having a hard time because the sea is too ruff and they can't get a good radar picture. Visibility is also poor which makes seeing Harms light on his lifejacket even harder.
    Chloe walks into Macs office and ask if they have had any luck yet. Mac says no and tells her to come in and close the door. They hug and Mac apologies  for ignoring her for the past couple hours. Chloe asks if Mac is alright and Mac says no. Chloe tells Mac that Harm is almost invincible and that he will get out of this alright. Mac says she doesn't know. Chloe tells her to stop saying that and to try and find him. Mac says that Harm is in the middle of the ocean. Chloe tells Mac try to find Harm like she found her in the woods. Mac is confused and Chloe reminds Mac about the time that her horse threw her off in the woods and Mac just had a vision of where Chloe was and found her. They are talking and Mic brings some food for Mac but sees the door is closed and just watches them. He seems mad and walks away. Mac tells Chloe she doesn't want to do this and Chloe tells her to try. Chloe holds Macs hands and Mac closes her eyes and starts to concentrate. The camera now shows the rough ocean. The camera gets closer to the surface and we see a raft. Mac opens her eyes. She walks outside to where Bud is showing the Admiral on a map where the Viking is searching. Mac points to a position northwest of were the searching is going on and tells everyone that Harm is there.
    The Admiral calls Ingles and tells him where Mac pointed to. Ingles tells the Admiral that he is trying to use the time wisely. The Admiral puts the Ingles on hold. He tells Mac that he knows she has done this once before but... Mac asks if Ingles has a better idea. The Admiral picks up on the Ingles and tells him that he would be skeptical himself if it was anybody else but Mac has a history of doing this. The Ingles asks for the coordinates and the Admiral gives them to him. Ingles says he'll see what he can do. They hang up and the Ingles thinks for a second then calls the S-3 to give them the coordinates.
    The Viking heads over to those coordinates and drops down to 100ft. They start looking at the surface but they can barely see anything. When there is a lightning flash the pilot sees something. They drop two sonobuoy a buoy with a microphone in it, to mark the location then make another pass. All they see is an empty raft. They make a wide turn and the camera tilts down to show Harm waving his arms and yelling, "Come back."
Mac and Chloe are still in the Admirals office when Ingles calls back to says they they found Harms raft but no one was in it. He says he call back and keep them posted. When he hangs up Mic comes in and tells Mac he's been looking all over for her. Chloe tells him that they found Harms raft but he wasn't in it. Mic says that means he is close by then. Mac says she is going to lay down. Mic tells her he got her dinner but Mac says she isn't hungry. When she is walking out of the office Chloe asks her is she wants any tea and Mac says yes. Chloe leaves the office. The Admiral sees that Mic is trying to help her but isn't getting anywhere. The Admiral tells him that Mac is handling this in her own way. Mic says that that is the problem.
    Renee is in Harms office and Mic walks in. She asks him why isn't he with Mac and he says that's a question for Mac. She tells him to sit down and Mic asks Renee how she is doing. Renee asks him how does she look. Mic pauses then says left out. Mic adds that she should get used to it too.
Harm is bobbing in the ocean when one of the sonobuoy that the Viking dropped bumps Harm. Harm grabs it and starts yelling into it asking if anyone is there. Back on the Viking they pick up what Harm is saying and get a location on him. They radio the carrier and the Seahawk is launched. 
    Mic is out in the hallway alone eating dinner when Mac comes. She asks what he is doing out here and he says he's eating. Mic tells her he wishes he could do something that could make her feel better. She kisses him and says that she feels a little better now. Mic says that she kissed him though. Mac says that's fine, all he has to do is sit there. Mac says she needs him. They hug when Bud comes to tell Mac that the Admiral wants to see her ASAP. They go with Bud.
Once everyone has gathered the Admiral tells them that the Viking has picked up a signal from Harm. The helicopter is on its way to rescue him. Singer asks how long has Harm been in the water and the Admiral says roughly 3 hours. Mic asks what the survival time in these kinds of conditions and the Admiral says around 3 hours. 
Harm can no longer hold on the bouyie and it slips out of his hands. The Viking tells the Seahawk that Harm is no longer transmitting right as the Seahawk arrive in the vicinity. The helicopter is lower than it's supposed to be but goes even lower to try to see better. Harm sees the helicopter but they don't see him. Harm takes out his pistol and starts shooting into the air. The helicopter sees the muzzle flashes and flies over Harm. A diver is hooked up to the winch and is lowered into the water. The diver hooks onto Harm. The diver and Harm are pulled up and brought aboard the helicopter. 
The helicopter dashes back to the carrier and Harm is rushed into sickbay. Hypothermia has set in and Harm is shaking uncontrollably. The doctor tells the nurses to get Harms wet clothes off and to get some blankets on him to get his body temperature back up. They hook Harm up to a heart monitor and give him injections. They see that Harms heartbeats are slowing down. The doctor tries to keep Harm conscious by shaking him and talking to him but it isn't working.
    The Admiral comes out of his office and tells everybody that Harm has been rescued. Everyone gives a sigh of relieve. The Admiral says that he is in the fourth stage of hypothermia though. Tiner asks how bad is that and the Admiral says its serious.
    Back in sickbay Harms' pulse if falling and the doctor says he can't get through to Harm. Skates, who is in a bed in the room, gets up and asks if she can try. The doctor tells her to make him start talking. She limps over and sits next to Harm on the bed. She tells him its Skates. She shakes him and tells him to wake up. She says she can't swim well, which is what she said before they ejected. She's crying and leans in closer and tells him not to let go. Harms eyelids flutter and his heart rate increases. Harm struggles to speak but finally tells Skates he can't breathe. Skates realizes she is leaning on Harms chest and gets off him. Harm asks her if they made it and she laughs. 
    Two days later Renee walks into Mac's office. Renee says that she got Mac message. Mac says she though Renee would call her back, she didn't have to come to see her. Renee said Mac wanted to talk with her so she thought they would do it in person. Mac says it's about Harm. He will be arriving at Bethesda hospital at around 11AM today. Renee says then that's when she will be there. Mac tells Renee that Harm is pretty beat up. Renee gets and attitude and tells Mac that she has visited people in the hospital before. Mac just tells her not to get to emotional because Harm might now be able to handle it in his condition. Renee agrees. Mac says the rest of them will be there later in the afternoon. Renee says that she thinks that they could have come earlier in the day, but they are giving her the first chance with Harm. She says thank you and walks out.
    A nurse is checking up on Harm while he is sleeping. Renee walks into the room and the nurse leaves. Renee stands next to Harm and holds his hand. Harm awakens and gives Renee a confused look. He asks her how long has it been since they have worked together. Renee asks if he is talking about the recruiting commercial. Harm says yes, he thinks is almost been a year. Renee says yes. Harm says he appreciates her coming out to see him. Renee gets a little confused but then says she called Harm's mother and she will be taking an evening flight. Harm asks how does she know his mother.
    Harm's doctor is walking through the halls of the hospital with Mac, Mic, Chloe, Bud, Harriet, and the Admiral. The doctor says that Harm has swelling in his brain and can't remember the past year. Bud asks if he will remember them. The doctor says probably, he has good memories of the past. Mac asks about his memory about the resent past and the doctor says its shaky. The doctor continues on his rounds and the rest of them a walk into Harm's room, unsure whether Harm will remember them or not. Harm sits up when they walk in. No one speaks until Harm, in a low soar voice, tells the Admiral it's nice to see him. The Admiral smiles and says the same. Harm then looks towards Bud and Harriet. Bud tells Harm its Bud. Harm jokingly asks if he thinks that he wouldn't remember him. Harm says he was just looking at the lieutenants (Harriet's) new bars. Harm congratulates her and they both smile. Harm says hello to Chloe and then tells Mic that he could never forget him. Mic says he'll take that as a compliment. Harm then looks at Mac and says he is sorry for missing her wedding. Mac says he didn't miss the wedding. Harm realizes she cancelled the wedding for him and says now he really feels sorry. Harm asks if they have set a new date and Mac says that is the least of their worries right now. Mic looks at the floor. Harm says that he was told that Mac was instrumental in his rescue. Mac says not really and Chloe says she lead the to the raft. A nurse then comes in and tells them that they need to leave for 20mintues. The Admiral says they will be back and Harm says he is looking forward to it. Before Mac walks out Harm thanks her. She smiles and walks out with Mic. Renee stands in the room for a couple more second then walks out.
    Mac and Mic are getting food from a vending machine in the cafeteria. Mic asks about a new wedding date. Mac says she hasn't thought about it yet. Mic says he has and the hall is available Saturday. Mac says that's in three days and asks if they can get it together by then. Mic says they cancelled it that fast. Mac says that Chloe is going back home today. Mic says that he can just call her grandmother and ask her to stay through the weekend. Mac says that she just isn't in the right mindset right now. Mac says she will think about it.
    Later that day Mac and Mic bring Chloe to the airport. Mac says she is sorry but Chloe tells her not to be, it's an excuse for her to come back later. Chloe hugs Mac then Mic. Before she walks thought he gate she tells Mac and Mic that they are so good together. Mic and Mac walk back through the terminal. Mic is walking a little ahead of Mac. Mac says that she doesn't think the wedding could work out this weekend. Mic says it's no problem. Mac asks about next month. Mic says they should shelve it for a while. Mac asks what is he talking about and Mic says that they should postpone it indefinitely. Mac stops walking says that isn't funny and Mic turns around and says no its not. Mac asks him what he wants to do. Mic tells her to let him think about it. He turns around and walks away while Mac just stands there. 
    Two weeks later Harm is walking around the hospital with a cane when Skates and the pilot that flew the chopper, a Commander Lauphins, that rescued Harm and Skates comes to see him. Harm says he understands Lauphins broke every rule in the book to save them. Lauphins laughs and says he loves flying dangerously. Harm thanks him. Lauphin says that the plane Harm and Skates were giving landed hard before Harm took it up. They didn't find anything wrong with the plane until it got back in the air. Lauphin says next time Harm flies they will give him a better plane. They shake hands and Lauphin leaves. Skates continue to walk with Harm. Harm tells Skates that that is one hell of a last ride. Skates tells Harm she decided not to leave. Harm asked what happened to shore duty and Skates tells him that the past experience reawakened her love of flying. Harm asks what her fiancée has to say. Skates says that he supports her, she guesses that's why he is her fiancée. Skates asks about Harm. Harm says he is almost back to normal, he is being released in the afternoon. 
    Harriet comes into Mac's office. She apologies for being so bold then says that she has been taking calls all day about when the new wedding date will be. Harriet wants to know if she and Mic have set a new date. Mac tells her to close the door and Harriet does. Mac tells Harriet that her and Mic got into a argument during Harm's crisis. Harriet asks if they are talking. Mac says they are but not as much as she would like, but things are getting better. Harriet asks what should she tell people. Mac says to say that they are working out the details. Mac tells Harriet not to worry, they will get thought this, they have to. 
    Renee is helping Harm back into his apartment. She carries in his belongings and he walks in behind her. She asks if he is hungry and he is says he no, he is good. Harm goes to sit on the couch and she asks him if he wants some music and Harm says no. Renee sits down in front of Harm. She asks that when Harm was in the hospital, and he couldn't remember who she was, was he thinking that this is someone he could be with. Harm gives a look of disgust. Renee says she knew she shouldn't have asked that. Harm asked why she did then. Renee says because she is scared not to ask. Harm asks if this is about Mac. Harm says why do they always have to come back to Mac. Renee says he is right. She has to go now and she'll let him get some rest. Harm takes a breath and tells her he isn't mad, he just doesn't want to talk about this right now. Renee leaves and Harm isn't sure what to think anymore.
    Mac walks into her apartment and sees a box with Mic's stuff in the middle of the room. Mic walks into the room and puts more stuff in the box and Mac asks him what he is doing. Mic says he rented a place up the block. He needs room to think and he can't do it in her apartment. She asks why is he moving all his stuff. Mic says that if they end it he doesn't want to have to come back. Mac tears up and yells why would they end it. She says he can't just leave without discussing it with her. She says they are a couple and couples make decisions together. Mic says that she made the decision to postpone the wedding by herself. Mac says they both decided to. Mic says that she decided to with his blessing. He then asks whose idea was it not to reschedule for the following week. Mac softly says she wasn't ready. Mic walks up to Mac and she says she is sorry. Mic tells her not to be sorry, but to be honest. Mic asks her why is she marrying him. Mac says because she loves him. Mic then asks why then in a crisis is he always the last person she goes to. Mac says she doesn't know. Mic says she needs to find out and when she does then they can have a talk about their future. Mic picks up the box and walks towards the door. Mac tells him not to go. Mic puts down the box and walks back to her. He tells her that she doesn't want him to leave not because he will break her heart, or not because she loves him too much. She is scared to be alone, and that isn't a good enough reason.
    There is a knock on Harm's apartment door. Harm opens it and it's Mac. Harm says she doesn't look too good and tells her to come in. Mac starts to walk in but then says no, she should leave. Harm tells her to come in again and this time she does. Mac tells Harm that 'He' left. Harm asks why. Mac says that he doesn't think she loves him. Harm asks if she does and she says yes. Harm says that she should just tell Mic. Mac says its complicated. Harm tells Mac to explain it to her. The phone rings and Harm answers it. Harm pauses and gives the phone to Mac, it is Mic. Mic says he was in his apartment thinking of the first person she would go to, now he has his answer. Mac asks Mic for his address so she can come right over. Mic says no. He closed his office and packed up all his things. He is taking the first plane back to Australia. Mac asks why does he need to be around the world to think. Mic says, "Goodbye beautiful," then hangs up. Mac hangs up and tells Harm that Mic is going back to Australia. Harm asks why as Mac runs to the door and says she has to catch him. She tells Harm that Mic just can't understand her and his (Harm's) relationship. Harm says maybe that's because they can't understand it themselves. Mac looks at Harm then walk out.
    Renee is driving her car when she gets a phone call. Once she answers her expression saddens. She asks, "When did he go?" She then tears up.
    Mac is running through the airport when she finally sees Mic handing his ticket to the flight attendant. She yells his name and he turns to look at her. His expression doesn't change. He then turns around and walks into the plane. 
    Harm is sleeping but is awoken when Mac calls him. Mac is crying and tells Harm that Mic didn't even talk to her. Harm tells her it isn't her fault. Harm tells her maybe it's for the best. Mac asks what he is talking about and Harm tells her this isn't going to make her feel better but it's better now than 6months into the marriage. Mac says she is going to hang up now. Harm asks where she is going and she says she doesn't know. Harm tells her to come to him. Mac says she needs a reason. Harm says she knows the reason. Mac doesn't speak and Harm tells her he is waiting. Mac says she'll come.
    Renee pulls her car over and starts crying.
    Mac knock on Harm's door and he opens it. Harm tells Mac that Renee's father died of heart failure. She just got here. The camera points behind Harm and Renee is on the couch (I can't tell whether she is sleeping or just lying down). Harm says they can't do this now. Harm tells Mac that they are leaving for the funeral in New York tomorrow. He will call her as soon as they land. Mac tells him to call her when he gets back, Renee needs his full attention right now. Mac says they can talk when he gets back. Harm says ok and they look at each other for a could more seconds. The camera goes outside and we see Mac walking out of the building into the rain. Mac walks away from the building then looks in through Harm's open window. He sees Renee stand up and Harm hug her. Mac just stands out in the rain, in an empty parking lot, watching Harm and Renee hold each other.
