The Moving Wall

- The overall length of the Moving Wall is 252.83 feet,
composed of 74 separate frames, each frame containing two
silk- screened panels; each of the two walls that make up
the entire Wall are 126.5 feet in length, which is
slightly longer than half the length of the Memorial in
Washington, where each wall is 246.75 feet, overall
length being 493.5 feet. At the vertex the walls are six
feet in height (in Washington, the center panels are 10.2
feet in height).

- CASUALTIES: A total of 58,183 died as a result of
action in Vietnam (there are now 58,202 names on the
Wall).
- AGE: 61% of those killed were 21 years old or younger.
- WOUNDED: 303,704 -- 153,329 hospitalized + 150,735
injured who required no hospital care.
- SEVERELY DISABLED: 75,000 -- 23,214 100% disabled;
5,283 lost limbs; 1,081 sustained multiple amputations
- MISSING IN ACTION: 2,338
- PRISONERS of WAR: 766 (114 died in captivity)

We have had a most wonderful experience of hosting the Moving
Wall. Everyone was deeply moved, both the community and Chapter
members and volunteers. We hope our photos express some of the
events that we experienced to you. More photos will be added as I
