The Torch Trust is now working or is in contact with blind people in over 100 countries throughout the world. Here is a selection of some recent news.

Correspondence

Letters arrive at Torch House in Hallaton from blind people in over 100 countries and all are answered individually in braille by dedicated workers. Most ask for literature, but some ask for guidance with spiritual concerns.

Malawi

Further construction at Torch House, Blantyre means that the production of African scriptures in braille will commence shortly.  Nearly 30 fellowship groups have been established in Malawi and have been recently visited by members of the Torch leadership team. Over 250 parcels of braille scriptures and courses were distributed.

South Pacific

The Torch Council granted the growing work in New Zealand the title of "Torch Trust for the Blind South Pacific Branch".

Russian braille Bibles

The presses at Hallaton are kept busy producing these Bibles and recent feedback from Kazakhstan shows that they are being used in tremendous ways. There is a revival currently in the area and blind people are at the heart of it. Similar reports have been received from the Ukraine.
