Hanson has come from the Middle of Nowhere, to the Middle of Everywhere.
When
Hanson released their first commercial single, 'MMMBop,' - They
shot up the charts. Following 'MMMBOP' Hanson released in spring
1997 their debut CD, Middle of Nowhere.
Making, and performing music was not a new thing to Hanson. They had already released two independent CD's on their own- BOOMERANG in 1994, and MMMBOP in 1995. By June of 1995 Hanson had already performed more than 300 times in public!
At the end of November '97 Hanson released a Christmas CD called Snowed In, and a Long form video called "Tulsa, Tokyo & The Middle of Nowhere"
On May 12th Hanson released 3 Car Garage, a CD with their early recordings, the songs from MMMBOP. Hanson released it because they wanted the fans to hear what got them signed with Mercury records.
Some thought Hanson would only be one hit wonders...The reason
they are not, is unlike the Backstreet Boys, Spice girls, and 'N
SYNC, and all those bands, Hanson actually plays their own
instruments, and writes their own songs! And Hanson is about the
music, not the teen hype.
I believe Hanson is very talented, and that they have worked very
hard to get to where they are today. I hope they continue to play
music, and perform as long as humanly possible!
