Update: 7-6-1999. According to Jenny, who recently visited the Vandystadt office, a new book on Philippe is in the works.
Note from ST: Vandystad is the publisher of Philippes 1995 book Candeloro, Prince de la Glace (149FF), a general book on figure skating . They also did Patinage Passion that has some nice pictures of Philippe (249FF), Surya Bonalys autobiography Surya, Enfant du Soleil (no longer in print), and for those who must have everything that Our Hero turns his fair hand to, a book on roller-blading called Roller Story with introduction by Philippe (128FF). Vandystadt does nice mailings about once a year and one can hope that a new volume on Philippe is in the works.

It is rare for an issue of Patinage since #33 (July/August/Sept 92) to have nothing about Philippe. Most issues have one or two small photographs, with the exception of #35, 38, 39, 44, 51, 54 and issue #65. He is on the cover of issues 42, 59, and 64 and these contain major articles. The now defunct publication Ice Age had a very informative article about Philippe in July 95 and the French magazine Depeche Mode had perhaps his most revealing, Dec 94-Jan 95.
Teen People
This new version of the US magazine "People" had an article (Issue Dec. 98-Jan 99) on the Summer 98 Champions on Ice tour and includes two small photos of Philippe. Probably available in libraries.

Gala Magazine
A glossy French People -type magazine, Gala covered Philippes civil wedding (issue #276, 24 September 98), but not the religious ceremony the next day. This magazine can often be found in foreign magazines stores, but few libraries would have it. The availability of back issues is unknown.

Oh La!, the recently-launched French glossy magazine, had exclusivity on pictures of Philippe and Oivias religious ceremony on ice as well as covering the civil ceremony (issue#2, 24 September 98 : cover, 34 pictures, plus interview) and published an article on the honeymoon (issue #3 : six pictures plus interview). Oh La! is the French version of two other magazines that can sometimes be purchased in the US, namely Hello! (British) and Hola! (Spanish). Unfortunately, each magazine has a different content; it is not just a matter of the text being in Spanish, English or French and the wedding was carried only in the French edition.
