All-time T&F bests: While stationed in Germany in the
1970s with the Air Force, he had shot, discuss and hammer bests in the upper
40s, 150s and 160s, respectively.

-
Masters achievements: None yet. John wrote in April 1997:
"A few months ago while cruising the Net I came across some track and field
pages which eventually led to the Masters T&F Home Page, and my interest
was re-ignited."
-
-
Trivia: In West Germany, John belonged to the Trier Track
Club and trained with world-class hammer man Karl-Hans Rhiem.
John's training partner was Dave McKenzie, a national
class USA hammer thrower (whom he'd like to get in contact with again).

CEO's note: In early 1997, John in practice threw 6-pound
shot 40 feet (12.19), the 2kg discus 115 feet (35.06) and the 16-pound hammer
110 feet (33.52). He would have ranked in top 20 nationally in 1996 in M55
shot, top 35 in discus and top 10 in the hammer -- as well as placed in top
3 in those events at the Spokane nationals. John's barely started and already
near the top!
