Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland--TBM

The TBM web site has moved (again)!
Change your bookmark to: http://www.traditionalbowhuntersofmd.org/

This Bow'n Web was the "unofficial" website, for The Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland (TBM) for just over three years (12/09/97 - 01/01/01). It was provided without the use of club funds, as time allowed. Due to all of you who frequently visit this site, the club decided to have an official website supported by club funds. My commitments to family (see photo above), Scouts, church, and work have demanded more time lately, so I took the opportunity to turn over the webmaster duties for the TBM-specific (news) content. I will attempt to maintain the (more static) archery and heraldry references in the Bow'n Web as time permits (see Purpose and Content, below).

I hope you find the content can be informative. For details of recent changes, see What's New!

Purpose and Content:Rack in the Snow
The Bow'n Web is for those who are interested in traditional archery (especially those just getting started or curious about its history). The web provides an introduction to traditional achery, featuring cross-links to a hyper-linked dictionary of common archery terms and a taxonomy describing how the terms are related. Also included are archery associations you can join, a bibliography for references to read or watch, archery tips, traditional archery suppliers, 'who's who' in archery history (and some of their quotes), links to other sites, and other archery items. The Bow'n Dictionary and Taxonomy can be used as examples for those interested in Systematic Software Reuse or Domain Engineering (DE) [since that is one of my technical interests]. The site also includes information on heraldry and a little (Bowen) genealogy.

Navigation Hints:
At the top and bottom of each page is a "quick jump" bar with the major links. Click the coat of arms at the bottom of each page to go to the GregBowen homepage. An uparrow, on any page, will return you to the top of the page your are browsing. See the What's New page to see what has been added since the last time you visited. See the site map for an explanation of the link bar and the master list of all pages in the Archery subweb.
