How to Bid Auction TC

In auction TC, each player bids tempi for the desired side of a randomized starting position, with a bidding tempo being defined as either a transposition or a pawn move.  As in traditional TC, the transposition move is a player's first move option only.  There is no limit to the number of tempi bid, though it should be fairly apparent that considerable judgement is required in order to determine how many tempi a particular positional advantage may be worth.

BIDDING GLOSSARY
