I've been playing wargames for years. Well actually I used to play them
before I got too busy with real life and computers. I've got a sand table
in my garage where I occasionally fight modern armor games, WWII and potential
US vs bad guys such as the old Soviet Union. One problem I always had was
determining what the actual armor penetration capability of a given gun
is. I found a solution in a handbook I got from the Rheinmetall company
called Handbook on Weaponry.
If you've got a browser that will support JavaScript--which means NetScape
at the present time-- you can go to the page shown below and find out what
the armor penetration capability of a gun would be at any range if you can
supply known penetration values at two ranges. If your browser doesn't support
JavaScript then the page won't do anything.
Enter the world of JavaScript and compute armor
penetration
