About Truman L. Jayne:
First, I'm not a musician, unless you count playing the clarinet in the junior
high school band about 40 years ago. However, I can read music
which helps me do the midi sequences. I'm at a great handicap not being
able to play the keyboard. I have to enter all music with a mouse (note
by note), and somehow it just never sounds as good as the real thing
(a live midi recording), no matter how I manipulate it with a
sequencer. Comments will be welcomed at my guest
book.

About Bud Black:
I am a professional entertainer playing banjo, guitar and singing the songs
of yesterday on the steamboat Delta Queen out of New Orleans. I am
also a collector of old phonograph records and sheet music from the "Jazz
Age." and have many hundreds of both in my collection. I am currently
using Passport's Musictime program to transcribe some of my old sheet music
into midi format. Since I work on a riverboat I am seldom home, but
when I do get off the boat for a few weeks I find this midi converting a
great second hobby. I want to try to preserve much of these all but forgotten
tunes, and this is the best way I know how to do that. Feel free to Email
me at any time and share your interest in "old time" music.
