Welcome to Terry's Radio Collection

I've built this collection over the course of about 20 years. For the most part, I like bakelite and plastic sets, early Japanese transistor and tube radios, and lately I've been collecting Eastern European and Russian radios. One of my specialty areas is "wire radios"... If you don't know what that is, see my wire radio page for details.

Additionally, I've started a new hobby building nixie-tube clocks. I'll be adding a page showing those soon.

Please see my page highlighting my Tesla collection.

Thanks for visiting

Attention: I hate to do this, but lately there have been several incidents of people "borrowing" my pictures and text for their own purposes. Some of my pictures and text have even ended up on eBay. So please consider yourself notified that: ALL PICTURES AND TEXT ON THESE PAGES ARE COPYRIGHT 2006 by Terry Schwartz and are NOT TO BE USED, REPRODUCED, BORROWED, STOLEN, PILFERED, ETC. WITHOUT PERMISSION. That said, please stop by often, I'll be adding more pictures right along.

My friend Marty restored a Philco 70 most would have called a parts set. He kept a log of his progress. I've included the entire restoration log here for you.

I completed a major restoration project a while back. My rare Silvertone "Rocket" won two awards at NARC's spring swap meet, RadioDaze. The final chapter in the story of this radios' restoration is now in place.

I've begun another major restoration project. This Sonora WAU-243 is going to be one fabulous radio when I'm done.

I've added this page on the care of plastic radios. Please take a look.

Instead of adding a links page of my own, I've decided to put a link here to the links database on Alan Vorhees' web site. This links resource will always be current and free of "dead ends". Click here to get to the best compilation of radio Resources on the web. Please use your browsers "BACK" button to return here.

Sorry, guestbook entries are temporarily disabled to due the spamming delinquents. You can view previous entries here.

If you have suggestions, I really want to hear them. Please drop me an email. Tell me what you think of my pages and my collection. You will need to remove the "-nospam-" from the email link; I apologize for that, but the amount of spam I get without it is intolerable.
