Portables and Transistors
This page (1 of 3) will show my portable and transistor sets. Enjoy.
This Newmax Extension Speaker is a neat transistor radio accessory. It's large, 12" long and almost 4" in diameter. It has 2 plugs sized to fit different earphone jacks. New, unused, in the box.
This pair of Emerson Portables is almost a matched set. The Butterscotch set is AC, the red one is battery. Models 559AA and 560
This Motorola 55L1 is an AC/DC set.
This Channel Master transistor radio is a terriffic shade of 1960's green. This set runs on 4 "D" cells and epitomizes the modernized styling of the era. This set is fairly large and, because of the batteries, a fairly heavy radio. It is in remarkable condition and still plays perfectly.
These Sony and Silvertone radios came from estate sales. The red Silvertone was so filthy, it took over an hour of soaking and scrubbing the cabinet to clean it up. The Sony has a removable antenna and a leather zippered case with a separate compartment for the antenna. Also has a neat little swivel out stand on the bottom.
These two General Electrics are pretty ordinary, but red in color.
These two Panasonics are typical late 60's/early 70's sets.
These General Electric and Motorola radios are really a clean pair.
These General Electric and Westinghouse radios are a mismatched pair.
More transistor sets and portables coming. Check back later for more pictures.
