OK Industries Includes Metcal's SmartHeat

. . . . MENLO PARK, CA - The BGA-3500 and CSP-3500 Systems now include a Metcal MX-500S SmartHeat(R) soldering system. There are over 100 cartridges available for the MX-500S System, allowing fast, easy, and safe pad clean-up, as well as greater flexibility on the bench.
. . . . The BGA/CSP-3500 allows stenciling and solder pasting and component reflow without resorting to off-line operations on the board. The flip-up head assembly provides easy access to the board, while precision optics perform critical alignment functions. Highly accurate stencil and component alignment are assured. In addition, the stencil holder incorporates a quick change adapter that includes a coplanarity adjustment (patent pending) that guarantees coplanarity of the stencil to the board. Improved pre-heater performance reduces process time significantly, while duplicating the original reflow oven profile for safer rework.
