While Mother Earth was broody, her children
yet to hatch
She gave her sentry Nature, some special rules to watch
Go guard against the virus that comes from outer space
Keep well in mind the safety of my terrestrial race
Create a shield above us to fend off angry rays
For Father Sun is jealous and requires all the praise
If anything breathes danger or comes in evil stealth
Remove it from our presence, risk not my children's health
So Nature did his duty and faithfully kept guard
That Earth and all her children could live a life unscarred
And as he kept his vigil, that watchful eye on space
He failed to see behind him the treacherous human race
They ravaged all the forests, polluted all the seas
And in their greed and avarice brought Nature to his knees
As Earth lay there defenceless, the Sun turned on his glare
He burned the lands and oceans and laid all countries bare
Behold the ice caps melting, see how the planet dies
The lands and waters wilting from that malice in the skies
Earth knows that some tomorrow, she'll perish in the heat
Prepares herself in sorrow her Nemesis to meet
Meanwhile her stupid children continue in their play
In blatant desecration, living for today
Complacent in their ego, the knee they'll never bend
Till trembling and weeping, they meet their fiery end.
To this vainglorious planet “DEATH!!”; Says Father Sun
