bedspread weight crochet cotton approx. 500yds.

Notes: 1st shell of round = ch3 to make starting dc of first shell of row here and through out; dc, ch 2, 2 dc)(Shell= all other shells=2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc)

Pineapples:

Center section:

to start- ch 4, 9 dc in 1st st., join.

Rnd 1:

ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in each dc around (total=20dc) join

Rnd 2:

ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in each dc around (total=40 dc) join.

Rnd 3:

shell in 1st dc ; dc in next dc x 18 (total 18dc); shell in next dc,shell in next dc; dc in next dc x18 (total 18 dc); shell in next dc, join to top of 1st dc of round.(this is the ch-3 that will be here and throughtout known as the 1st dc of 1st shell);

Rnd 4:

slst to center of 1st shell; shell in shell; *ch 1; trc in 1st of 18 dc, and each of remainder of 18 dc (total=18 trc); ch 1; shell in shell; ch 2, shell in shell; repeat from*ending with ch 2, join

Rnd 5:

shell in shell, *ch 4; (sc, ch 3) between trc's (total=16 ch-3 loops); ch 4; shell in shell; ch 3; shell in shell; repeat from * end ch 3, join.

Rnd 6

shell in shell;* ch 4; skip next loop; (sc, ch 3)each next loop (total=15 loops); ch 4; shell in shell; ch 4; shell in shell; repeat from *end ch4, join

Side A:

starting pineapple line work; work all pineapples in line then come back to here and repeat for other side of center. Thus forming pineapple lines radiating out from the center.

Rnd 7:

shell in shell; ch 4; skip ch-4 loop; (sc, ch 3) each ch-3 loop (total=14 loops); ch 4; shell in shell; turn

Rnd 8-20: repeat rnd 7 decreasing one total loop each round so: rnd8=13; rnd9=12;rnd 10=11; etc.

Rnd 21

shell in shell; ch 4;skip ch-4 loop, sc in ch-3 loop; ch 4; shell in shell; turn

Rnd 22

shell in shell; ch 3; shell in next shell; turn

Rnd 23

shell in shell; ch 1; shell in ch-3 sp; ch 1; shell in shell; turn

shell in shell; ch 1; 12 dc in next shell; ch 1; shell in shell; turn

Rnd 48

shell in shell; shell in next shell; tie off

Repeat Rnds 7-48 on other half of center circle. Tie off

Optional: Outer Doily: finish off with shells around entire doily, 3 rows worth. (ruffling if wanted)
