Welcome to the
The Twin Tiers Sports Car Club, founded in 1990, is a group of people who love their sports cars. Many of us are of an age where we think fondly of vanished youth, and the cars we drove in that dim past. (Some of us have original cars from those days-gone-by and some of us have found or restored cars we had or wanted back then...) Some of our members are young prople who have succombed to that desire to take to the open road, down-shifting with abandon, with the wind in their hair and the exhaust fumes in their nostrils.
We represent a variety of cars: many of the little old European variety, but we also have members who prefer a newer American or Japanese marque. We try not to discriminate. Some of us have one car, and some of us have collections in various stages of repair.
We are a social organization, and enjoy a variety of motorsporting events such as vintage racing, road ralleys, gymkhanas, car shows and tours. Some of us have experience as restorers of sports cars, and most of us have experience in the vagaries of keeping them running, so we are able to share our expertise in these matters when help is needed. Some of us are also members of national groups pertaining to our preferred marque, and attend their events.
We meet at least monthly, more often in good weather, as our members are located in the Southern Tier of New York State and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania and feel the need to put our cars away for the winter months. We have enjoyed trips together, and camping, and dining here and there. We have had technical sessions, and picnics, and cultural tours. We keep connected through our monthly newsletter, and welcome new members who share our enthusiasm for the often frustrating, always enjoyable sports car.
