****Current Deadline: January 15, 2001 for the Spring Issue
The Twisted Quill is currently accepting submissions for the next edition of the magazine. Both poetry and prose will be accepted. There are not limits in terms of the length or style of writing. Of course, all writing must be an original, non-published work.
All writing to be submitted remains the property of the author and will only be used for publication in this edition of the magazine. There will be no renumeration to the author for their works.
Please only submit quality works of poetry or prose, and submit no more than 3 of your works at a time. It is up to you as a writer to choose what works you consider to be most worthy of publication.
The Twisted Quill gladly accepts simultaneous submissions (works that have been submitted to various magazine at the same time) because we understand the difficulty that many magazines place on writers by insisting on exclusive submissions. However, we do ask that you do not submit any works that have already been published in other print or online magazines.
To submit works for publication, please e-mail them both as an attached document (txt. or any commonly used word processor format are acceptable) and include the text in the body of the e-mail. Please head your e-mail with a 1 paragraph biographical sketch of yourself. In this biographical sketch, please include all significant publishing credits that you have received in the past 5 years. (Be aware, that previous publication is NOT a requirement for publication in this magazine, since our mission is to identify promising aspiring writers.)
Please do not submit the same work more than once. All submissions will be responded to in a timely manner. If your writing is accepted for publication, we may request additional biographical information to be printed along with your writing. In the interests of brevity, we reserve the right to edit your biographical sketch.
If your work is rejected, please do not ask for further explanation. Re-submission of works are only accepted if the editors have requested revisions. Rejection is an integral part of the publication process and it is something that every writer must deal with. Only through continuous self-examination and revision do we refine our craft.
Please e-mail all submissions to: twistquill@aol.com
