rodney's "here's how by example" sequence -

the problem: nah! can't fit me into the little Trident box on your right, right?
 |
first you should limber up by doing some stretch rest in a long bowl
 |
then pick a challenging box and try it on for size. this one is almost right.
 |
here i demonstrate the "turn around and try it backwards" approach. it's getting better.
 |
and now my grand finale example: see how easy it is, and i'll bet you were beginning to think that a perfect fit wasn't possible.
you are a very good student. thank you for your interest and attention. a purr to you from me.
some tips: Your cats (and dogs) and your pocketbook will thank you for the following advice:
FREE THINGS YOUR CAT LOVES:
Try offering the plastic pull-off seal
strips from your milk jugs. Or leave a
few cat size open cardboard boxes around
(free from the supermarket). Or throw
an opened regular size grocery paper bag
on the floor and watch your cat(s)
become a demolition team.
FOOD: It is better for your cats' teeth and health to feed them high quality complete nutrition dry food, high in animal and/or fish protein and fat content. Be sure to provide lots of clean water nearby. Soy is often used as a filler in cat food, and is hard to digest, causing loose stools, so avoid it. When you buy canned food, you are usually buying about 80 percent water. Gradually change from canned to more and more dry food over a period of a week or more, until you are no longer mixing canned with the dry. Dry food also results in firmer stools, better for your cats and reducing litter use. We recommend finding dry food comparable to Science Diet or Iams. I feed Diamond Professional cat food, comparable to the best brands and much less expensive. Table scraps offer incomplete nutrition and are no substitute for food formulated for cats. Milk often causes stomach disorders, so I stick to clean water.
FLEAS: A veterinarian once told me that fleas would be the cause of most of my animals' problems. Years later, I have seen that he was right. Fleas , having outlived dinosaurs, are a fact, often causing skin disorders and anemia if not controlled. In Maine's cool climate I treat each of my cats with easily applied FrontLine Top Spot every 6 weeks from May through October for direct flea kill before the flea can bite or reproduce (fleas do not survive freezing temperatures).
If your house is infested, the best way I have found to rid it of fleas is to spray it every 6 months. Clear the house of pets and people and spray the entire house with spray containing (S)-Methoprene in a concentration of .09 percent or higher. Save money by getting a store brand. The active ingredient is often brand named "Precor" or "Vigren". Then air the house for an hour before re-inhabiting it. Following the above recommendations will solve most of your flea problems.
PLEASE, HAVE A HEART AND NEUTER AND SPAY ALL OF YOUR PETS. If you want more pets, consider choosing to save lives by adopting from any of the shelters housing a great variety of homeless and abandoned pets from which to choose your favorites.
