Mission Statement: ULOAH is dedicated to the visibility, unity and empowerment of lesbians of African heritage. We empower black lesbians through education, the promotion of health and well-being, and advocacy.
Our Current Programs:
Family Reunion:

Building on the black tradition of welcoming non-traditional and extended families, this program showcases black lgbt families and builds straight allies.

We focus on building unity, resisting efforts to divide the black community, and seeking common ground.

ULOAH/YES!
(Young, Empowered Sistahs):

Develops and supports leadership among black lesbian youth, ages 16-26.

Strong Sistah/Sweet Success
(Includes The ULOAH Challenge):

Promotes healthy eating, increased physical activity, and achieving and maintaining
a healthy weight.
Sistahfest:

Our annual four-day black lesbian retreat.
ULOAH University:

Workshops, speakers panel discussions, and trainings designed to increase black lesbian activism and leadership.
