Comments on this site: Nice accomodations. Hostess was very pleasant. Water is tough to fish. Membership book mentions great for kids. I would disagree. Very difficult to access water (willows, fences and marshy), make presentation and land fish. Fish are plentiful and will hit almost anything (muddlers, hoppers, wulffs and nymphs)when you can reach them. We caught almost no brook trout. Most were cutts and rainbows. Trout were decent size considering the small size of the creek.

Comments on this site: It was low and not more than 8 feet across, but we had a ball. It was just a great time. All rainbows 8 to 10 inches but we were fighing only with dries. This was all in the creek-didn't even try the beaver ponds since a lot of brush around them. Best flies were a Parachute adams and any fly with red wings.

Comments on this site: The casting on Coal Creek was tough because of willows in close proximity to the stream. However, the beaver ponds fished OUTSTANDING. Caught 20 nice fish to 20".(Rainbows and Cutthroat were the trout du jour)

Comments on this site: As mentioned in previous posting, the casting on Coal Creek is tough because of willows in close proximity to the stream. I fished from the coral upstream and the closer I got to the beaver ponds the more open it was for casting. I fished from about 8:00 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m. The fishing was OUTSTANDING, I caught 30+ fish; most were in the 8 to 12 inch size and about 6 in the 16 to 18 inch size. Almost all the fish were cutthroat and maybe 2 or 3 rainbows. The water was a little on the chocolate color; which was to my advantage since the fish could not see me trying to maneuver around the willows. I used a weighted dark green woolly bugger.

Comments on this site: The creek was in fine form, producing a ton of great rainbows and cutts. The fish ranged from 15"-22" in a little creek. Olive WB and adams fished well. Caught 50+ fish between two rods. A great cutthroat property.
