Like on a real starship of the 24th Century, the crew of the USS Maat are assigned duty positions within the chapter's various departments. For the most part, the duty assignments are part of the atmospheric, fictional aspect of the club. However, some duty positions and departments actually have real responsiblities to the chapter. To find out more about any of the departments or to read the department's quarterly report, click the department name on the list below.

Selecting a department to be assigned to is one of the first duties of any new recruit aboard the USS Maat. (Members may also choose not be take part in the fictional rank and duty assignment aspect of the club and simply join the chapter as a civilian.)

This section is still in development and not all chapter's have their department description on file. The current quarterly departmental reports from each section to the chapter's newsletter are currently available.
