Promotion Petitions Due
The Promotion Review Board will once again be accepting promotion petitions that are due at the July meeting.
The results of the Board's review will be announced at the August meeting. As always, any member who successfully
completes a STARFLEET Academy course may apply for an automatic promotion based upon
Academy completion. (Academy Promotions are limited to one per Maat Year and only for
promotions up to LT CMDR.)
SC Submissions Due
July 12, 2003!!! If you CANNOT get your written report
e-mailed or turned into the SC Editor or our Charity Coordinator by this date, you MUST contact
the appropriate officer and let him/her know when the report will be turned in.
If your report is not turned in and you don't contact the appropriate officer, you will be placed on probation for a 6 month period. Any failure to turn in a
report ON TIME during that period will result in the Command Staff taking actions to find a
suitable replacement for your position.
All other SC submissions will be on July 20, 2003. Not at the meeting. If you bring it to the meeting it will be late as January's and February's meeting will be on the fourth Sunday instead of the third like normal.

Affiliate Program Fund Raisers
The USS Maat's web page is now affiliated with several e-businesses. By posting the banners
below, the chapter will be able to earn money everytime a purchase is made off one of these sites.
The most pay a small percentage of the purchase, 3-8%. Once a set total has been reached, the company will write a
check out (on a quarterly basis) to the chapter. Cool, huh?
So, Maaters, the next time you're looking for that special something to purchase on-line, check
out these sites. You'll not only get a great deal and have the item delivered right to your door,
you'll also be helping the chapter make money, too! Just remember, shop through the links on the
Maat pages so we can get the credit. These links will be permanently placed on the
Toys and Merchandise page and may make appearances elsewhere.
USS Maat List Serve
The USS Maat's listserve is open to all Maat members with e-mail capabilities.
The list allows people with e-mail access to send e-mail relating to Star
Trek and/or the USS Maat to everyone else subscribed to the list. The process is
really simple and a great way for our long distance members to have a chance to actually take a
part in chapter related conversations. If you have an e-mail account and haven't already signed
