What is Star Trek?
How could you not know what Star Trek is?!?!?!? Well, for those of you who don't know, I suppose I could tell you. Star Trek is a science fiction show in syndication. It was created by Gene Roddenberry in 1964. The pilot was produced, but CBS turned it down. Then, NBC ordered a second pilot. They liked it, so NBC aired it from 1966-1969, when it was finally canceled.
Movies followed, then a Star Trek spin-off, Star Trek: The Next Generation, from 1987-1994. Gene Roddenberry died in 1991, but Star Trek continued with Rick Berman and Michael Piller's creation of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which began in January 1993 and is still running in first-run syndication, just like The Next Generation, today. Then Berman, and Piller, together with Jeri Taylor, created Star Trek: Voyager. Voyager started on January 16, 1995, kicking off the United Paramount Network.
Voyager can be found on UPN Wednesdays at 9:00PM, and is in it's fourth year, and Deep Space Nine is in it's sixth year.
