This is a 3 Part E! /Adam-12 Crossover story
Officers Pete Malloy and Jim Reed were on patrol for their first morning watch of the day when Jim was about to ask his partner Pete about some plans for upcoming activities.
"So Pete, are you going to be there this friday night for that Special Beauty Pageant?" Jim asked.
"Sure I'll be there Jim, doesn't everyone?"
"I just want you to make sure, that's all."
"I'll be there Friday night, don't you worry about that," Pete replied.
"Thanks Partner, I knew I could count on you."
"That's what friends are for Jim."
Roy carefully backed the Squad into the vehicle bay and parked it in its usual spot. Before Johnny got out, he told Roy what his plans were for the weekend.
"Roy, what are you gonna do this weekend?" Johnny asked.
"I don't know. Probably take Joanne and the kids fishing or something," Roy said.
"That'll be great Roy. Take me with ya," Johnny said with a big grin.
"As long there is peace and quiet over at Lake Hodges, I'll take you," Roy replied
Johnny and Roy both got out of the Squad and went into the break room to grab themselves a hot cup of coffee.
"So, how did it go guys?" asked Marco.
"Pretty good Marco. The victim had a broken right femur, but he's gonna make it. Doctor Morton is treating him over at Rampart," Roy said.
"Glad to hear that," Marco replied.
"Well did you guys leave me something for breakfast because I'm starving," Johnny said.
"There's some bacon and eggs left on the stove," Marco said.
At that moment, Michelle Richards and her best friend Annie Young were on their way to the beach in their gray 1967 V.W. to have fun, relax and check out all the gorgeous guys.
On the way to the beach, a fast approaching 1974 Ford Torino was speeding very fast and lost control. The car hit the two teenage girls car on the right fender and then forced them to crash into a trailer truck. Their car spun and was pinned underneath the big rig.
"Pete Look over there," Jim said as he and Pete saw a car that was pinned under a trailer truck.
"Better call an ambulance and a fire unit right away before that truck explodes," Pete said as he parked the cruiser at the intersection of Freeway 108 5 feet off-ramp in the lane where the other cars were.
"This is Adam-12. We show a Code 6 at the intersection of Freeway 108 5 feet off-ramp requesting an ambulance and a fire unit," Jim said on the mic before hanging up.
"1 Adam-12 Roger," said dispatcher Shaaron Clairidge.
Moments later, the tones sounded at Station 51 alerting the firemen to go to their next rescue call.
"Station 51, Engine 45. Vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Freeway 108 5 feet off-ramp, Freeway 108 5 fee off-ramp. Police are at scene. Ambulance is responding. Time Out 10:17" Sam said on the intercom.
"Station 51, KMG 365," Hank said before putting the mic away in its usual spot.
The Squad pulled out of the station followed closely by the Engine into the morning traffic with sirens wailing.
"Help, please Help us!" Cried a woman trapped in her burning car.
"Okay Miss, just take it easy and we'll get you out of there as soon as possible. The Fire Department is on the way!" Pete said.
Sergeant William "Mack" MacDonald arrived a few seconds later at the accident scene.
"Reed, Malloy, what have you got?" Asked Sgt. MacDonald.
"Mack, we have two females who are trapped in a burning car that's pinned under a trailer truck. One is fine but the other female is injured. We gotta get them out of there fast," replied Pete.
"Pete, we have an injured truck driver over here!" Jim shouted.
"Coming!" Pete yelled back.
Mack advised all citizens to move back and stay right where they were in case the truck were to explode.
Moments later, Station 51 arrived at the accident scene. Johnny and Roy got out of the squad to grab their turnout coats and their trauma gear so they could treat the victims so they get them to the hospital. Capt. Stanley advised Chet and Marco to get the reel line, and he had Stoker stand by the engine just in case he needed some additional assistance.
Hank got out his H.T. and contacted L. A. dispatch and Engine 45 for additional assistance.
"Engine 45, Engine 51, take the northeast section of the San Diego Freeway near the 5 feet off-ramp cut-off. L. A. Engine 51 notify Engine 45 that the truck is set to explode within three to five hours and it may be carrying toxic chemicals, I want a full first alarm response to this location and advise them to use airmasks," Hank said on his handie talkie.
"Engine 45," came the Captain's voice reply on Hank's H.T.
"Engine 51," replied dispatcher Sam Lanier on Hank's H.T.
Roy got the biophone and contacted Rampart Emergency to relay the information on all three injured victims who were involved in the traffic accident.
"Rampart, this is Squad 51," Roy said.
"Squad 51, we read you loud and clear go ahead," came the crisp voice of Nurse Dixie McCall.
"Rampart, we have three victims who were involved in a traffic accident; victim number 1 is a 17 year old female who has cuts bruises over her forehead. Victim 2 is an 18 year old female who has a broken left femur. Victim 3 is a 41 year old truck driver who has lacerations on his left eye and some artificial bruises on his left arm. Stand by for vitals."
"10- 4 51, standing by," said Dixie as she called Doctor Brackett on the phone to get him to the base station fast.
"Get me Doctor Brackett please," Dixie said.
"Roy, BP is 110/85, pulse is 65, and the respiration's are 13," Johnny said.
"Rampart BP is 110/85, pulse is 65, and the respiration's are 13," Roy repeated into the biophone.
"51, start IV's on victims 1 and 2. On victim 3, start an IV with D5W and normal saline. Give each victim 5 milligrams MS IV and transport as soon as possible," Doctor Brackett said.
"10-4 Rampart," Roy said as he hung up the biophone.
Moments later, Engine 45 arrived at the scene, followed by the ambulance.
Jim went to check on the truck when suddenly an electrical shock on the trailer truck caught fire and the truck exploded knocking JIm to the ground causing him to hit his head.
"Jim?!" Pete called when he came running to see his partner and friend who was lying on the ground unconscious.
"Jim!" Pete yelled.
"Cap, we have an injured Officer here!" Johnny hollered.
"Okay Johnny, I'll respond another ambulance to this location!" Hank shouted.
"Right!" Johnny yelled back.
"Jim wake up, don't do this to me," cried Pete. "Don't do this to me dammit!"
Will Jim survive from the truck explosion? Will Johnny and Roy save him before he goes into full arrest? Be sure to tune in for the conclusion of this E! fan fic story!

"Jim, wake up! Please!" Pete said with tears streaming down his face.
A few minutes later, Officer Ed Wells and his partner Jerry Woods from 1 Adam-47 arrived at 51's incident.
"Hey Malloy! What happened here?!" Ed asked when he ran to see fellow officer Jim Reed who was lying unconscious from the truck explosion.
"Jim's was injured in an explosion, Ed. We need to save his life fast!" Pete said.
A few minutes later, a second ambulance arrived at the location.
All of a sudden, Jim started to wake up, but lost consciousness again. He was in V-fib.
"Roy, he's in V-fib!" Johnny yelled.
"Rampart, this is Squad 51," Roy said on the Bio-phone.
"Go ahead, 51," Doctor Brackett replied.
"Rampart we have an officer who is in V-fib," Roy said.
"Defibrillate 51. Apply counter shock at 400 watt seconds," Brackett ordered.
"10-4," Roy repeated as he hung up the Bio-phone.
Johnny open the defibrillator and placed the electro-cream on each paddle. He gave it to Roy so he could apply the counter shock. "1, 2, 3, 4 Clear!" Roy shouted.
Jim was not responding when Roy tried to defibrillate him.
"No change!" Roy replied. "Again!"
Roy placed the paddles on Jim's stomach so he can once again apply counter shock.
"1, 2, 3, 4 Clear!" Roy again shouted.
A few seconds later, Jim was in sinus rhythm.
"Breathing on his own," Roy said.
Johnny took over the Bio-phone to once again relay the information on the fourth victim who was knocked unconscious from the truck explosion.
"Rampart, patient is in sinus rhythm and breathing on his own," Johnny said.
"10-4, 51 transport as soon as possible," Doctor Brackett said.
"10-4, Rampart," Johnny said as he hung up the Bio-phone.
Moments later, two ambulances, Squad 51, and four black and white patrol units left the accident scene to respond to Rampart Emergency for observation and treatment.
A week later, Pete was off duty when he went to see his partner Jim Reed in Room 403. Nurse Dixie McCall was there when he arrived.
"Hey Pete, how's it going?" Dix asked.
"Pretty fine Dix," Pete said.
"I'm glad to hear that."
"Can I see Jim for a while?'
"Yes you may Pete, he's in Room 403," Dixie replied.
"Thanks Dix," Pete said.
Pete went to the elevator and went on the floor to go see Jim. When he got into Room 403, Johnny and Roy were there.
"Hey, Pete! How are you doing?" Johnny asked with a crooked smile.
"Perfect Gage, just prefect," Pete said.
"Listen Jim we gotta get back to the station now, we'll see you later ok?" Johnny asked.
"Sure Johnny, see ya," Jim replied.
Johnny got his handie talkie to contact Sam to make themselves available.
"Squad 51, available," Johnny said.
"Squad 51," Sam replied.
"Well Jim ol' pal, you feel ok?"
"Yeah Pete, I'm fine."
"Listen, sorry that we had to cancel the beauty pageant last Friday because of your accident," Pete said.
"Oh forget it, there'll be next month," Jim said.
"I sure hope so."
Just then their conversation was cut short when Dixie went Dixie entered the room to talk to Pete.
"Pete, you have a phone call. It's Sgt. MacDonald," Dix said.
"Okay Dix, I'll be right there in a minute," Pete said.
"Listen pal, I have to go now. You get some rest ok?"
"I sure will Pete, thanks!"
Pete went to the nurses station to take the call from Sgt. MacDonald. "Mack, what've you got?" Pete asked.
"You better get to the station fast. There's something I need to talk to you about," Mack said.
"I'll be there in 5 minutes," Pete replied, and he hung up the phone.
Pete left Rampart General and headed back to the station a few seconds later.
Dinner was getting underway at Station 51. The crew sat down to eat their favorite meal they love the most "Captain Stanley's New England Clam Chowder!"
"Wow, this is really good Cap!" Chet said.
"I'm glad you like it Kelly," Hank replied.
Just then as they were continuing to eat their clam chowder, the alert tones stopped them short, making them lose another supper time together.
"Station 51, assist the Police Department. Hostage Situation. Possible fire at Rio's Supermarket, 4600 San Dario, 4-6-0-0 San Dario. Cross street Baker, time out, 18:10.." Sam announced on the intercom.
"Station 51, KMG 365," Hank said before putting the mic away in its usual spot.
"Let's go!" Hank yelled.
Both vehicles left the station into the evening traffic with the wailing of the sirens and the airhorn sound coming from the engine.
On the way to that possible fire call, Johnny tells Roy, "That's the store I go to all the time."
"Really," Roy said.
"Yeah, Really!"
"Well let's go there and find out what's happening?"
"Back off you Pigs, or I'll kill this woman over here! Do you hear me? And I'll set the store on fire with my explosives that I've got inside!" said a Black man in his mid-20s who held a shotgun pointing at the woman's head.
"Listen, we don't want to hurt you ok? Just let her go and put down that shotgun. We can work this thing out!" Sgt. MacDonald replied on the bullhorn from outside the store's parking lot.
"No I won't Cops, I won't do it!" The gunman yelled as he fired another warning shot at the officers who were waiting outside the store.
Station 51, 1 Adam-47, and 1 Adam-12 arrived 15 minutes later at the location of the 2-11.
Also arriving at that location, Police Detectives Paula Nash and her partner Robbie Sheets met them at 51's incident as they both got their service revolvers from the front seat of the car.
Pete and his temporary partner, Officer Jack Robbins, got the shotgun rack from the back seat of the cruiser and held it in their hands just in case they needed some additional assistance.
The woman who was held hostage by the suspect was none other than Roy Desoto's wife Joanne and their two children Chris and Jennifer.
"Joanne!" Roy shouted.
"Roy, get back here. You're gonna get yourself killed!" Johnny yelled.
"But it's my wife! She's being held hostage!"
"We're both gonna get her out. Just stay here till we receive some instructions!"
Five hours has passed and the suspect still refused to come out with his hands up. It was time to take some action by taking the suspect out.
Mack once again spoke into the bulhorn. "This is your last chance, come out with your hands in the air!"
"No Pigs! I will not!" The gunman yelled. "I'm not going back to jail with all of you pigs!"
"Let's take him out," Sgt. MacDonald ordered.
Pete Malloy ran into the back door of the supermarket just in time to get the suspect to give himself up before it was too late. Paula went inside as well just after Pete went in.
When the gunman came back inside to find out his hostage was missing, he became real violent and started shooting once again at one of the officers from outside the door. But Paula had stopped him short when she came inside the now complete messed up store with a gun pointing at the suspect.
"FREEZE!" Paula shouted.
Pete also ran to the entrance with a gun in his hand.
"DROP THE GUN!" Malloy yelled.
The suspect was now caught by one of the officers and there was no way out for him.
"Drop it!" Pete screamed.
But the suspect took no chances. He grabbed the shotgun from out of his coat and started shooting at the officers, but he missed as they both shot the suspect 2 times in the stomach.
The suspect fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Get an ambulance Paula, he's still alive," Pete instructed.
Paula ran outside to their un-marked vehicle to dispatch an ambulance to their incident so they could take the suspect to Rampart Emergency for treatment. He would be booked for possession of explosives and attempted murder later.
"Pete are you ok?" Mack asked.
"Yeah Mack, I'm fine, just fine!" Pete said.
"Roy!" Joanne cried as she ran to husband's arms.
"Daddy!" Chris and Jennifer cried also and ran into their Daddy's arms as well.
"Aah, now that's what I call a happy ending!" Chet exclaimed.
"Chet, Shut up!" Johnny said with a dirty look.
The end, KMG 365
