Wow...what can I say? Seeing the Longpigs this up-close and personal was definitely an experience I will never forget. They tore the house down...if you read down below, you can check out the setlist, which had 2 songs I hadn't heard before, "Blah" and "Beyond," and what can I say, they were both excellent. But by far my favorite song of the night was either "Sally Dances" or "She Said" (which had a nice extended ending to it!)...out of the whole night, I must say The Longpigs were the best of all...The Crystal Method went on first, and though they were good. I am not all that big a fan of techno, so listening to them for over an hour was like a big tease as I patiently waited for the 4 guys I was dying to see walk onto the stage. Not only that but Crystal Method had a light show and had them fill the place with smoke so from the minute I walked in till the minute Crystal Method finished its last song, I couldn't see a thing. BUT...it was all worth it 'cause as soon as they finished, I booked it over to the stage and waited...and was front row when the Longpigs came on. One other thing I gotta say that sucked about the place was the crowd...they were LAME!! The true fans were all in the front, and everyone else just kinda sat around. Nevertheless, the boys came out and gave a stellar performance. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay till the end of the show to see the last band Spiritualized (would have missed the last train home!). Overall I give the 'Pigs a 10. Only downfall like I said was the crowd.

You can also find this review at Sarah's Web site, The Pigpen.

[Uyen's note: You can fiind "Blah Blah Blah" on the b-side of the "Far" CD single. In fact, if you're going to buy any of the Longpigs singles, get "Far" because it also has "Amateur Dramatics" (a.k.a. "Travel"), which is beyond amazing. Trust me on this one. "Beyond Good and Evil" is a new song, I believe.]
