KIDS SUMMER CAMP in Huahine, French Polynesia
VAIARU CAMPGROUND
Kids summer camp sessions offer your child an opportunity to experience the culture and beauty of French Polynesia. The camp teaches the traditional Tahitian ways, including how to: build a fare Tahiti (hut), weave coconut palms for roofing, make tapa, baskets, hats, fishtraps, Hiimaa (pit) cooking, net fishing, the basics of vanilla farming, and a brief course in the Tahitian language.The summer camp is available to children of all nationalities ages ten and older who are in good health. A medical certificate from the child's physician is required. We strive to maintain a peaceful environment at the camp, and require that the children are able to follow the camp rules.
Year 2000 Sessions:
Two week session:
Session #1: 7/1 - 7/15/00
Session #2: 7/15 - 7/30/00
Session #3: 8/1 - 8/15/00
One week session:
Session #4: 8/15 - 8/22/00
