JJ Word Find Puzzle Sentence Clues

1. Straight from her stage debut in the family's Las Vegas lounge act, Janet made her television debut on the short-lived 1976 variety show series based on the act, "The Jacksons," where she did a precocious impersonation of 1930s film star Mae West and was often paired with brother Randy for Sonny & Cher and Captain & Tennille impressions.

2. Janet sustained a susccessful television acting career for a number of years, first appearing as Penny Gordon Woods on the series, "Good Times," then as Jojo Ashton on the series, "A New Kind of Family," as Charlene DuPrey on the series, "Diff'rent Strokes," and then as Cleo Hewitt on the series, "Fame."

3. While appearing on "Diff'rent Strokes," Janet launched her music career. Her debut album, the self-titled "Janet Jackson," featured the singles "Young Love," the rock-tinged "Come Give Your Love to Me," and "Say You Do." Foster, the producer of "Come Give Your Love to Me" had, in the 1970s, been the lead singer of his own famous family's singing group, The Sylvers.

4. Janet's single, "Don't Stand Another Chance," which featured her famous brothers on background vocals and was produced by brother Marlon, appeared on her second album, "Dream Street."

5. Janet's brief marriage to James, this singer in (yet another!) famous family singing group, DeBarge, was annulled within a year.

6. Starting with Janet's breakthrough third album, "Control," Janet's albums have been produced almost entirely by these two former members of the Prince-launched band The Time, Grammy Award winners Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

7. Nearly all of the videos for the singles from the "Control" album were choreographed by former NBA Laker Girl and popular singer/dancer Paula Adbul.

8. Janet's longtime confidant, boyfriend and companion was the mesmerizing photographer and director, Rene' Elizondo.

9. One of the producers on Janet's fourth album, "Rhythm Nation," was -- Janet herself! She wrote and co-produced the hard-rocking, head-banging single, "Black Cat" both words and music. The focus of the "Rhythm Nation" album can be summed up in four words: dance, music, poetry, and unity.

10. From Janet's fifth album, "janet.," came an exotic, erotic music video with an Asian feel for the single, "If." Janet continues to work with this video's choreographer, longtime friend and dancer (since the video for the "Control" single, "What Have You Done For Me Lately?"), Tina Landon."

11. Janet made her film debut opposite talented rapper and actor Tupac Shakur in the film, "Poetic Justice." The film featured the powerful, soulful poetry of internationally acclaimed author and poet laureate, Maya Angelou.

12. Janet hopes to one day star in a film about legendary and glamorous 1950s film actress, Dorothy Dandridge. You can judge for yourself Janet's ability to play her in the video, "Twenty Fourplay," a single from Janet's 1996 greatest hits compilation album, "Design of a Decade," in which Janet is clearly portraying her.

13. Janet's newest album, featuring exciting young violinist Vanessa-Mae, the smooth rhymes-and-grooves raps of A Tribe Called Quest member Q-Tip, and a sample from Joni Mitchell's legendary 1970 song, "Big Yellow Taxi" (in the song, "Got 'Til It's Gone") is titled, "The Velvet Rope."
