Stirling's premier cycling club

It's not winning that's important, it's just not being there that counts!

The only web page with its own cycling club.

This page is best viewed with some sort of scrolling facility.

The club is a Stirling based club, ........honest! That's why we have chosen the Stirling skyline for our web logo. You can just make out the Wallace Monument just above the 'i'. Stirling is famous for many things. Most people know Stirling as the site of the battle of Bannock Burn Bridge which was the subject of a film staring american superstar, Mel Gibson.

Our New Plan & Name

There has always been trouble with our name, we keep getting mixed up with a German womens volleyball club (an understandable mistake), so we're going to change it. Committee member, Oberbefehlshaber Brussell, came up with the idea that if you don't make the meetings then we'll count your vote as one in favour of what we want. "If you care about the club, you'll come along and vote YES, if not, stay at home and vote YES" he ranted...it's genius! A sentiment shared by Keiser Cragie. "What's important is that we all get to the meeting, which is in a pub near my house, rather than get to the centre meetings or help organise events". VC Olympia have a good record here, missing most of the centre meetings this year and being instrumental in the cancelation of this years 100 mile TT.

President Slobodan Milosevic praised the VCO boys for their plan, "I wish I had thought of this instead of stuffing ballot b.....err....oops.....you can edit that out.... right?" he said. "Their spin on only giving proxy votes to people that will vote for them is a great touch", he added.

Sadam Horno commented on the idea by constructivly slamming another club member, "How many club runs has he been on?  He's probably just organising TT's and racing for the club instead of pottering around Fifeshire with us!"

Last years reliability, Stalingrad.

The club are currently meeting for:

Saturdays :Road run (easy 40 miles) 10am Rainbow Slides

and some other occasional activities

Next years training camp hasn't been decided, it's probably Mallorca but some committee favour Poland.
