Rear main in R69 and R69S - $79.90
The OEM 20207 FAG self aligning barrel roller bearing (the rear main in R69 and R69S engines) is no longer made with a metal cage. What is available is a 20207 with a plastic cage. It is rated to only 120 degrees C and the mfg sez that some oil additives will attack the cage. And, it is expensive. aroound $150 depending on who you buy from. The orginal correct rear main can cost up to $200 or more these days (if you find one). This is not good news for R69 - R69S owners. However, after some exhaustive research, I have come up with a metal caged, dual row, self aligning C3 ball bearing, rated to 10,000 rpm, that is EXACTLY the same dimention as the 20207. I bought a bunch, and I now have them in stock, at Bench Mark Works, for $79.90 each.
