WINDOWS 3.X TERMINAL SOFTWARE SETTINGS:

  • Open "Accessories"
  • Click "Terminal"
  • Click "Settings"
  • Click "Communications"
  • Set Baud Rate to 9600
  • Set Data Bits to 8
  • Set Stop Bits to 1
  • Set Parity to None
  • Set Flow Control to Xon/Xoff
  • Set Connector to your computer's Com Port number
  • Click OK to conclude and save settings
  • Click "Phone"
  • Click "Dial"
  • Enter 1-310-715-2912

WINDOWS 9x HYPERTERMINAL SOFTWARE SETTINGS:

  • Select "Programs"
  • Select "Accessories"
  • Select "Communications"
  • Select "Hyper Terminal"
  • Click HyperTerminal
  • In the "Name" box, enter "Personnel Registry"
  • Select any icon of your choice
  • Click OK
  • Enter Area Code 310
  • Enter Phone Number 715-2912
  • Click "Dialing Properties"
  • Place check mark in box: "Dial as a long distance number"
  • Click OK
  • Click "Modify"
  • In the "Connect To" menu, place a check mark in box: "Use country code and area code"
  • Click "Configure"
  • In the "General" tab, change modem speed to 9600
  • Click OK
  • Select "Settings" tab
  • Emulation: Select "VT100" or "Auto Detect"
  • Click OK
  • Dial the Personnel Registry
