Descendants of William Hillard
William Hillard came to this country in the spring of 1635 at the age of 21 on the ship "Elizabeth and Ann." In 1639 he was granted the right to erect and operate the first grist mill in Duxbury of the Plymouth Colony. In 1640 he married Esther (____). In 1647/8 he sold the mill and removed with his family to Hingham of the Plymouth Colony. Children of William and Esther(____) Hillard: William, who married Deborah Warren Esther, who married Joseph Bates Mary, who married John Farrow.
