A COP'SBEAT
 

My name is Vidner and I am a member of The Virginia Beach Police Department. Virginia Beach is located in Southeastern Virginia within a region called Hampton Roads. Originally from Halifax County Virginia I now reside in the "Resort City." One thing that attracted me to this area was the weather. I'm a graduate of The University of Maryland and have been a Police Officer since 1994. It's a job I've always wanted and I feel I'm the luckiest person in the world because I was selected to be one of the Best in Blue. I'm also a member of the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 8 .
Officers of the Virginia Beach Police Department are serious about catching criminals in the Hampton Roads area as well as criminals wanted around the United States.

In my short career I have learned many things about human nature. I, as well as most officers, have seen people at their worst and during their greatest achievements. But still, everything isn't always picture perfect. Every cop will tell you we are heroes when citizens call on us when they are in need and the same people accuse us of wrong-doing when things don't go their way.

However, let us never forget those who are the most innocent victims of all, The Children.
