Welcome to my home page on the World Wide Web
. Here is everything you never wanted to know about me, and probably still don't care to. But, if you choose to read on, you will find that I am a very busy woman who wears many hats. I was a wife for 24 years, I am a mother of 3 boys, and I also have a profession. My main interests are country music (especially I am a fanatic when it comes to Vince Gill), and I am a photography and computer enthusiast. Please read on and I will tell you more about each one of these aspects of my life. If you decide to explore some of the Internet HyperLinks that I have provided below for items that interest you, just use the

Wife
After 24 years of marriage, my husband Seth and I are in the process of getting a divorce. On August 12, 1996 I came home from work to find that Seth had packed up everything he could carry in our Chevy truck and camper trailer and just ran away from his family and all the responsibilities related to having a wife and 3 children. I guess they call it "male menopause" or "mid-life crisis", and I should have known something was wrong when he suddenly started growing a pony-tail. But, whatever the excuse, at the age of 46 Seth has returned to the responsibility free life he had when he was 19 years old. He has moved back to Montana and is living again with his mother. I am sure she takes very good care of him, and this way he has no one else to worry about except his own needs and wants. I guess this is what I get after supporting Seth through being fired from his last 5 jobs in the past 11 years. Not having Seth around has not been as big an adjustment as I had thought it would be for me, mainly because of Seth's latest employment. With his work history, the only employment Seth seems to be able to find now is as an on-the-road truck driver. They always need lots of those because with the hours they work you can't have a normal life and the pay is so poor. So for the past year we didn't see much of him anyway because he was either on-the-road or asleep when he was home. I am doing just fine, thanks to many great friends and family, but having their father abandon them has been hard on our 3 boys.
Mother
I am the mother of 3 good looking (even if I do say so myself) and strong boys. Whether or not I have stayed sane while trying to raise them is an opinion where the jury is still out. Let me tell you a little bit about each one of my sons.
S. Cameron
My number one son is now 20 years old and graduated from High School in May, 1995. He was out of the house and on his own living in an apartment with some friends for awhile, but has been living at home again most of 1996. It is good to have him back again, although he is hardly ever home. He has matured a lot in the last year. But as one of Cameron's child care sitters said many years ago, "when Cameron is good he is VERY good, and when he is bad he is HORRID". Luckily, we have had more good this year than bad. He can be so damn charming when he wants to be. Like most young people in his generation, Cameron tends to only live for and think about the moment, with little concern for the future. He is such a smart young man. I know he could be anything he set his mind to. I just wish he would think about the future and get himself a college education. He has been working two jobs trying to keep his creditors at bay. Cameron recently bought a racy red 1991 Honda CRX automobile. He delivers cookies and muffins to various retail stores from early morning until the afternoon and then works at a tire shop from afternoon until evening. When he is not at work, he is at his girlfriend's house. Cameron's girlfriend's name is Aja. She is very nice and seems to be a good influence on him. I just hope they don't get too serious too soon as she is only 17 and still in high school. And after all, I am just not ready yet for this "grandmother" thing. Lots of people have given him the nickname of "Tom Cruise" because he does look a lot like the movie star. My nickname for his is Goon. He is very good looking with dark hair and sparkling blue eyes and a grin that just makes hearts melt. Sometimes I think his good looks are his downfall though, because he tends to get his way with people just by turning on the charm. But, what's a mother to do???
Stephen
My number two son is now 17 years old and a Junior at Chatfield High School. Stephen is a very responsible young man. He has been carrying at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average in school this year. This is even more extraordinary considering his struggle with learning disabilities. But Stephen works very hard at his studies, and he does this on top of working in the late afternoons and early evenings at the same tire shop where Cameron works. They both come home with tire dirt from head to toe. He works more hours than I would like him to since he is still in High School, but as long as he keeps his grades up I can't complain. Stephen is a big help for me around the house too. Stephen is dating, but for now seems to be playing the field. Stephen would like to go snow boarding every day if he could. This is one of his biggest passions. As with most teenagers, he thinks he should have all the freedom of an adult and that his mom doesn't know anything. But he rarely gives me any trouble and I really appreciate having him around. He seems to know when I need that extra hug or a kind word. Stephen is looking into the possibility of doing some kind of apprenticeship to become a fire fighter, up in one of the mountain communities so he could ski too. I know he will do well at whatever he decides because he is such a hard worker. My nickname for him is Reno. Stephen has light brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. The girls are starting to call regularly. But, what's a mother to do???
Shaun
My number three son is now 14 years old and a Freshman at Chatfield High School. No matter how old he gets, he will always be "my baby". His father deserted him only 4 days before his 14th birthday, and maybe because he is the youngest, he has taken it the hardest of the 3 boys. He was a very angry young man for several months. Shaun is a procrastinator who would rather watch TV or play video games than do his homework, but his father abandoning him has also really had a very negative affect on his grades. He has directed most of his anger at me. As the psychologist I spoke with said "The person he should be angry at, and really is angry with, is not here so where else is he going to direct his anger but at you." Things have started to look up though. I think Shaun has begun to realize that his life has not really changed that much with his father gone and that it really will be OK. It will take time, but I think he will turn himself and his grades around. I know he is capable of it. When he is in the right mood, Shaun can make me laugh quicker than anybody I know. Shaun is also a big help for me around the house. He earns extra money by doing chores, animal and babysitting for people in our neighborhood. He can hardly wait until he is old enough to drive and can have all the freedom that affords his two older brothers. My nicknames for him are either Bubba or Bommers. Shaun is a cute kid with an impish grin. It won't be long before the girls start calling him too. But, what's a mother to do???
Profession
I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant with my Masters of Science
degree in Accounting. As if my children and hobbies don't keep me busy enough,
I also work two jobs, one full-time and one part-time. Let me tell you a
little bit about each one of my jobs.
Job #1
I am a Staff Accountant, GS 510-13 for the Federal government. I work
for the Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, Washington
Administrative Service Center West, at the Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado.
This is the third agency that I have worked for since I came to work for
the Federal Government in December of 1986. We are sort of a financial "SWAT
Team" for numerous other federal agencies. I have a very busy job with a
considerable amount of responsibility. I work directly for the Chief of the
Accounting Branch. My main duties involve financial analysis and internal
controls. I also develop and conduct training classes on various subjects
which include Total Quality Management, Performance Measurement, and Statistical
Sampling. I have traveled to several places with my job. Some of the places
I went to this year were Albuquerque, New Mexico (several times as we do
a lot of financial work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs), all over South
Dakota and North Dakota (where I got to see and go gambling with my aunt
Gert, uncle Bud and cousin Ann Reyne), and a one day trip to Ontario and
Burbank, California (where I was able to see my mom for about 3 hours).
Job #2
I have my own part-time public accounting practice, which I run out of my home office. I prepare the accounting records and income tax returns for several individuals, partnerships and small corporations. It is a year-round business because of the accounting work I do, but is much busier during tax season.
Country Music/Vince Gill Fan
My biggest interest (and the only one I seem to have any time for) outside
of my family and jobs is country music. Our family vacation for the last
four years has been to attend something called the Country Jam. This is
a four day (Thursday-Sunday) country music festival held in Grand Junction,
CO every year at the end of June. There are always lots of big name and
up-and-coming country music stars performing at the Country Jam. We have
VIP tickets in the second row just left of center stage, which we renew every
year. The VIP tickets include all the great food you can eat and free beverages
(including alcoholic) for the four days. We always have a great time and
I take tons of great pictures of the celebrities. If you would like
to know more about this fun country music event, just click on the following words

And now for my overwhelming passion. As I have mentioned, I am a totally consumed fanatic. I have seen Vince in concert 14 times, and it is not nearly enough. The following is a list of dates and places where I have seen him in concert:

I have made a vow that if ever
crosses the borders of Colorado to perform, I will be there. I have been
lucky enough to meet my idol 5 times so far! The first time I met Vince was
on Saturday, June 24, 1995, which is when the picture below of Vince and
me was taken. I met Vince a second time on Thursday, May 2, 1996, which is
when he autographed the picture below for me. The third and fourth times
I met Vince were on Tuesday, June 11, 1996, at his Fan Fair booth and later
backstage after his MCA label concert performance. The fifth time I met Vince
was backstage on Thursday, August 22, 1996. The photos taken of Vince and
me together for the 3rd, 4th and 5th times I met him are shown on the photo
pages below for those concert dates. All of the times I have been lucky enough
to meet Vince are very special to me and experiences that I will NEVER
forget!

If you live in the United States, it costs $10 a year to join Vince Gill's fan club. You can join by sending a check to Vince Gill Fan Club, P.O. Box 1407, White House, TN 37188. For the $10 a year you get a data sheet, 8X10 photo, photo magnet, bumper sticker, and quarterly newsletters with updated concert tour information. The fan club also has a hot-line you can call for tour update information. That hot-line phone number is (615) 230-6027.
I consume everything that has anything to do with Vince Gill; music (old
and new), pictures, magazine articles, t-shirts, coffee mugs, magnets, bumper
stickers, etc. I video tape him every time I know he is going to be on TV.
I have found a great place on the Internet under the VH1 Artist Library for
Vince Gill. It has a wonderful long Biography section which includes 15 photos,
a Digital Gallery where you can download three video clips of Vince Gill's
music videos, and a Contact Sheet where you can write a message to Vince.

Vince Gill's record label, MCA, also has an Internet site for Vince. It
includes 3 pages. One page talks about his most recently released album
"High Lonesome Sound". One page has a nice biography. And one page has a concert schedule.

Another great source of information on the Internet for Vince Gill is
under BMI, the music company. This source deals with Vince as a songwriter
rather than a singer or performer. It talks about Vince winning the 1995
Songwriter of the Year award at the BMI Country Awards. It also has links
to three other BMI pages. The first one of these pages has a photo of Vince,
small biography and list of Vince's BMI Award-Winning Songs. The second page
has a listing of all of the BMI 1995 Country Awards, including Vince's. And
the third page has an awards photo that includes Vince. If you would like
to go to this Vince resource just click on the following words

An absolutely wonderful source of information on the Internet for Vince
Gill is a new site for his latest album "High Lonesome Sound". This site
includes: the words to all of the songs on this album, eleven audio clips
that you can download and listen to, biographies of members of his tour band
and session players and background singers, excerpts from an interview with
Vince, concert and appearance information, a Vince biography, a listing of
all of the various awards and honors Vince has earned, and a place where
you can E-mail Vince and subscribe to his mailing lists. If you would like

For those of you who are members of America Online (AOL), there is a country
music fan folder for Vince Gill where we fans discuss all kinds of information
that we find out about him, or just sound off about things related to Vince.
If you are viewing this page through AOL and would like to check this out,
just click on the following words Vince Gill's
AOL fan folder. You will need to click and select "Country Music" on
the menus, and then when all the country fan folders are listed, find and

Computer Enthusiast
Last, but not least, is my interest in computers. I have a 486 DX2-66
MHZ Multimedia PC system. I really like to play on my computer. In fact lately
I guess you could call me a real computer geek. It really amazes me what
these machines can do and the more I learn the more I want to know. I am
not into games. I like to work with multimedia files such as: graphics, videos,
photos, sound files, etc. I would like to learn more about animation. I also
like to get Online and "surf" the Internet. I guess you could say I am hooked.
This home page is my first attempt at using HTML (HyperText Markup Language).
It was an incredible learning experience, but also a lot of fun. I hope you
also enjoyed reading my home page.
