Steve Doty called the meeting to order at 12:00 P.M

Steve received a notice from the AKC of 2 disciplinary problems concerning events. 1) The establishment of a time frame of seven days from the event in which in which individuals who desire to file a complaint with the Event Committee would be eligible to do so; 2) defining a clubs disciplinary jurisdiction during a cluster event which begins upon the arrival of participants in conjunction with the event and continues until 12:00 midnight following the event.

Recording Secretary Report: A motion was made and seconded to skip the reading of the last meeting's minutes since they were mailed out to the membership. They were accepted as published with the exception of the following two corrections:

-Tom & Jackie Enwright were listed as Associate Members of the club but should

have been listed as full members.

-Carol Upthegrove does not have to attend 2 meetings to become a member since

she was previously a member.

Treasurer's Report : Andrea provided all in attendance a detailed balance sheet. She also stated she paid off our loan from Geraldine Wilson.

January 1999 Specialty Report :

Byron passed out a premium list for each member to review for corrections. He needs any corrections within the next couple of weeks. The trophy donations will not be listed in the premium list this year.

The club approved the expense of putting an ad in the Boston Quarterly.

Colleen Brossard suggested we contact nearby clubs who will be having shows that we trade ads for our shows. Byron will talk with Sandy and Linda who are responsible for publicity and advertising to handle.

Judges Selection – Colleen Brossard and Byron Elder, Trophies – Cindy Doty,

Chief Ring Steward – Andria Williams, Hospitality – Bob & Vivian Blanton,

Education – Colleen Brossard, Publicity – Linda Scanlon,

Advertising – Sandy Linsen, Decorations – Sharon & Joan Hansen

Steve suggested that future meetings should have a time set aside for some type of an educational program or report.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 P.M.

The next meeting will be Saturday, September 5th at Bob & Vivian Blanton’s home. We will have a picnic prior to the meeting starting at 1:00PM. Bob & Vivian will furnish the Hamburgers & Hot Dogs with trimmings. Everyone else should plan on bringing a covered dish, drinks and lawn chairs, his or her dogs & puppies. We will set up a ring and table where each member can show their dog to club members to be critiqued and then lastly our resident Judge Colleen Brossard can give us her opinion of the strong and weak points of each dog. Directions are attached.
